Everybody's so hung up on Caleb or Justin, but there's still a reality where we can trade the pick (and Justin) and take a QB.
I am all in for your plan, Rusty.

With his minimal starter experience it would likely benefit Maye to hold a clipboard for a year or two.

The Ryan Poles (3) QB Pipeline is still a possibility - for those who like to play the long game.
There is a GM named Poles
Who has a clear set of goals
He’s rebuilt his team
So Bears’ fans can dream
Of winning some more Super Bowls

For me, it’s Willliams or Fields. I like Maye…but not enough to replace Fields.

Man I don't know. Maye gives me Justin Herbert vibes.

But I'm also still in the "keep Fields" camp.

I like this kid. Learning from Rivers about staying healthy is low key important. Not to mention, although it looked weird, Rivers had one of the quickest releases in the NFL. Just behind guys like Brady/Brees/Rodgers.

To me Maye is the better pro prospect. He's a more polished pocket passer. Williams is a pocket passer, but he's hung his hat on holding the ball too long, running around, and making an off platform throw that works. But if you watch a lot of those crazy throws that he pulls off. Half of those get picked off or batted down in the NFL. Or the DE/DT catches him before he can make the throw. Everything is much faster in the NFL. I try and watch the highlights of these QB's through the lens of the speed of the NFL. Yes some QB's can adjust to the speed, but a lot can't.

No... no he's not even close. Maye is a better prospect by leaps and bounds. If he went to Arkansas, or Baylor, or Penn State, or literally anywhere else no one would even mention "Mitch" in the same breath as Maye.

Gives me a Mitchy vibe.

Has that look about him, he’s not an ass kicker, he’s too nice.

Fields is an ass kicker, he’ll take the hits and scream “again”.

Maye has that “rabbit in the headlights” vibe

Did I read it correctly that Williams is not going to throw at the Combine?
