I don't know if the Bears are seriously considering him at QB. He's a Heisman winner, played against top competition in the SEC. He's a dynamic runner. His deep ball is considered good (although Fields arm is stronger) but he's not known for throwing it over the middle too well, which some evaluators point to as not having the skills yet to anticipate what WRs are going to do. He is considered a bit too light and they worry about his durability in the pros:

I think Daniels, given the amount of games he's played, is probably the most "ready" QB. But there are legit concerns about his slight frame.

His age wouldn't concern me that much if he wasn't so thin and prone to taking massive hits outside of the pocket. Dude makes Bryce Young look thicc.

Fields and Williams are about the same, but you'll never convince the pundits of it. That position doesn't sell advertising.

His weight is an issue with several around the league:

By comparisons with other mobile QBs, Lamar is 6'2", 215 pounds. Justin is 6'3", 229 pounds. Mahones is 6'2", 225 pounds. Caleb is 6'1", 215 pounds; a UCLA player said his legs are like tree trunks. 215 pounds seems to be the minimum weight NFL evaluators like to see for a QB to stand up to the physicality of the league.

Daniels has such an insane release. It's one of the quickest I've ever seen.

The more I watch tape, the more I think that Daniels is the most polished pocket passer out of this class. And apparently he has been interviewing really well. I think that you can draw a 1:1 equivalence between Daniels and Lamar Jackson. They are the same player. Spoiler alert: Williams is not Mahomes.
