Exact terms haven't been released except that it's 5 years, $95M guaranteed, and is almost $160M. He becomes the highest paid DT in NFL history.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

Fair enough, he’s a decent player.

5 years for $160m ($32m annual average).
The structure will be interesting especially given Mahomes' cap hits are in the region of $60m per annum for the next 4 years, RT Jawaan Taylor's are nearly $25m for the next 3 years and Joe Thuney's are $27m for the next two.
That's a lot of cap space tied up in a handful of players.

$144M out of a $255M cap for '24. Didn't they franchise their CB, which would be almost another $20M. I believe the Chiefs were already in the hole before this, they have to sign a draft class, so who else will they be cutting?HisRoyalSweetness wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 5:14 pm 5 years for $160m ($32m annual average).

I'd be interested in how that contract is structured. I doubt Jones sees the end of it. I'm assuming it's more of a two-year deal than a 5.
Still, that's a lot of guaranteed cash.
