I think he MIGHT be a good pro @Heinz D. but he hasn't shown enough in college nor does he have the traits to be and he's only ranked as highly as he is because of his personality. He's the "I would let him marry my daughter" that old coaches love. Going deeper on this would be controversial in a way that would piss off mods so I'll leave it there.

Basically it's the crap that caused Pace to overdraft Mitch. I hate it hate it.

Don't think he'll end up being a good pro, or do you just hate the Wolverines?

Yeah, the offense he was a part of wasn't exactly pass-oriented. So, I do get the skepticism...

Choice 3: Jayden Daniels

Second pick:
Choice 1: Jackson Powers-Johnson
Choice 2: Jared Verse
Choice 3: Darius Robinson

Third pick:
Choice 1: Kiran Amegadjie
Choice 2: Xavier Legette
Choice 3: Calen Bullock

Fourth pick:

So far it appears you're the only one not having Caleb as 1.1. If we trade down and get Maye, you are in the drivers seat.

Really beginning more and more to look like it will be Caleb. I'll assess and change my pick closer to the draft.

Bears trivia. If you get this correct, you are, by far, the best Bears fan of all time: What was the only year when the Bears took a QB with their 1st round pick and a WR with the 2nd (although it was pick 54):

=====================================================================================================
1987: Jim Harbaugh first round
Ron Morris second round

LOL

You had me yelping "Wait, what!" and diving into the history books (databases).
Ron Turner actually was a successful college WR (did not know that), but did not come out in 1987 and was not drafted, apparently

HA, I missed that. I just assume we drafted a Ron Turner and he was just one in the long line of WRs we drafted that didn't have a memorable impact for the team and I had forgotten him.

If it helps anyone, Jason Lieser mentioned in an article about Joe Alt that the Chargers’#5 pick and Falcons’ #8 pick are known around the league to be up for sale.

I think the best chance for us move #9 will be for Turner and / or one of the top 3 WRs being on the board. MAYBE some team would want to move up to take who they perceive as the top CB, but I'm not overly sold on anyone.

Was that written before the Chargers cut Williams and traded Allen? As I'd imagine they'll go WR at #5, now?

I doubt it. Harbaugh isn't the most WR friendly coach. I'd imagine he targets Roman Wilson over one of the top 3.

What is "draft" about it?

That they're calling it a "draft" hat to sell more to fans. It would be a good everyday Bears cap.

I'm not the draft hound that some of you are. I know a lot of players that are due to go in the first couple of rounds, but that's about it. Here's my best guess. I'm predicting that we trade back 7-10 spots from #9 and pick-up an extra 2nd or a couple of 3rds.

First Pick:
Choice 1: Caleb Williams
Choice 2: Drake Maye
Choice 3: Jayden Daniels

Second Pick:
Choice 1: Dallas Turner
Choice 2: Graham Barton
Choice 3: Chop Robinson

Third Pick:
Choice 1: Xavier Legette
Choice 2: Ja'Lynn Polk
Choice 3: Ja'Tavion Sanders

Fourth Pick:
Choice 1: Michael Hall Jr.
Choice 2: Mason Mcormick
Choice 3: Brendan Rice

Barton is a good pick there, In a trade down from 9 in which Verse and Latu are no longer on the board, I think he and Powers-Johnson get into the conversation.
