Whitehair has signed a 1-year contract for just $2.5m in Las Vegas. Quite a comedown for an 8 year starter who was set to have a cap hit of $13.25m if the Bears had kept him.

He’ll be snapping to Minshew

Yeah, I mentioned wherever else this popped up that I'm kinda surprised he didn't just retire, whether he's got 1-2 more yrs in him or not.

And playing for Luke Getsy.

Methinks good old Luke isn't going to let Cody anywhere near the football. He'll likely be a backup guard.

Lots of experience at the position and in Getsy's offense. He'll be a mentor for the starters at G and C and a decent backup.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

He's no longer a starting level player, that's been pretty obvious, but the Raiders could've done a lot worse in finding a backup.

He's an excellent guy to guide young guns and play in an emergency, but if he's a starter, no beuno.

Must be replacing Bears legend Hroniss Grasu.

I was reasonably excited for Grasu to have his day with the Bears, and naturally his body broke down in camp in what would've been his first year as a full-time starter. I read about his torn ACL in practice while I was getting a Bears tattoo, lol.

I had no idea Grasu was still in the league.

He was actually a tolerable backup the last time he got real snaps (2020).

I liked the pick at the time. Had a reasonable rookie season, before the ACL.

We definitely need to know about this Bears tattoo UOK.

Is it embarrassingly lame like this?

Or this?

Or is it something a bit more striking like this?
