The schedule is not out yet, but the strength of schedule numbers are. The Bears have the 3rd easiest schedule in the league this season.

Oh man. Let the season expectations run wild!

Our division foes strength of schedule number is higher than the Bears because.....
They have to each play the New Bears twice!
That being said, the inverse is also true.
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Happily, it finally involves the Bears.... :toast: :headbang: :transform: :jump:

That's crazy

We end up with the same projected SOS as Carolina?

Yeah, this feels like the league pushing their chips in on making the Beloved "a thing" now that we have CW...

No surprise here. We are playing a 4th place schedule. That's why it's the perfect year for debuting Williams.

It's also why all you Lions lovers should have less love for them. They are playing a 1st place schedule this year.

The teams you play is a huge part of most NFL teams success.

The schedule is based off record. As soon as we finished in last we were going to play alot of bad teams. The league isn't doing anything right now. None of this is new news.

The league will start to favor us during the season if we win early and that will be thru the refs. Everyone knows that's how the league fixes games. Ask the Packers :D

This is correct, when we start getting calls you’ll know we have arrived.

As for SOS, I rail against this every year. It’s mostly meaningless, it’s last years SOS and this year could be quite different in reality.

When the Falcons start out 2-6 with Cousins under center. How often is their SoS going to come up in the fans' call for Penix to start? That is going to be a slow moving train wreck all year.

I must admit I'm a little surprised at just how low down the list the Bears are given the NFC North plays the NFC West this year and the 49ers, Rams and Seahawks all had winning records. Imagine if it had been the NFC South instead! Still at least it's not the AFC North where every team had a winning season.

We both have 4th place schedules. A lot just depends on what divisions you are matched up with. Panthers have the AFC West and NFC East. We have the NFC West and AFC South.

The whole AFC South is going to be much improved this year. Lawrence got a new weapon, Tennessee has been very busy this offseason, and I'm guessing that the Texans will continue to ascend.

And the Colts get their starting QB back ... but essentially, he's a rookie this year.

Lawrence continues to sputter and has a mayfield/Goff type career

Tennessee is in the beginning of a rebuild and doesn't realize it til its too late this year

The Colts picked the wrong QB and begin to suffer for it

Stroud has the inevitable sophomore slump while the whole team reverts to the team they have been for several years not the one they were last season.

Things can be spun a million ways. Hopefully this year they spin in our favor.

When the Bears can manage to beat GB twice in season and convincingly win the NFCN this may matter. Until then it doesn't.

I’d say it’s confirmed when we start getting calls when playing the Packers

I’ve got a feeling that if anybody so much as breathes on Caleb’s helmet that flag is coming out.

They’ll protect a hyped up #1 overall pick. Whether he’s black or not.

That's a good point Marshall. It will be interesting to watch. I don't think it's a black and white thing, but it's certainly true the refs did NOT give a shit about Justin.

If the schedule leaks so far are to be believed, the Bears don't play any NFC North teams until week 11. I think that's an ideal scenario because it gives the team time to hit their stride before playing the most meaningful games.

The Sun Times are reporting the Bears will be playing:
  • The Lions in Week 13 for the Thanksgiving game.
  • The Seahawks in Week 17 on Boxing Day, another Thursday Night Game.
At least they don't play on Christmas Day.

It would be a surprise if their bye week isn't Week 7 following the London game.

So Titans, Texans, Colts, Panthers, Jaguars, Cardinals , Washington, Patriots plus a bye in the 1st 10 weeks? That is a great schedule for a young team that needs to stack wins early. I am very excited if this ends up being true. That could be an 8-2 or 7-3 team going into Packer week. Perhaps the Bears are catching the NFL's eye after all.

My preference is to play the Packers in Week 1 and have Caleb ram that ball right up their ass.

We’re going to the playoffs this year AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!!!!

I'd love for that to work out, but I think there's a chance that also wouldn't go so well. If what has been leaked is true, I think there's a pretty realistic chance we could be looking at knocking them out of the playoffs in their house. That would be a hell of a statement.

Let's save the open the season ramming for year 2 or 3. Let's build this teams confidence early against creampuffs and then punch the Packers in the face week 10.

Caleb knocking the Packers out of the playoffs, in their house, as a rookie will be like a scene from a movie. I can already see the snow in the background as Caleb does the Claw all over Lambeau
