As a 24-year-old college football player at the University of Colorado, Shilo Sanders has quite a problem on his hands:

Bankruptcy.

More than $11 million in debt.

And now there are court proceedings that question his wealth and where he’s keeping it.

Daddy needs to pony up a chunk of money and get this settled.

He has a duty to keep the court up to date on his address and his failure to do so will most likely have the judgment stand despite not getting actual notice.

I'm not well versed in the bankruptcy code, but it appears the Texas judgement already shows it was "willful and malicious injury." Sanders had the ability to defend that claim in the Texas proceedings and failed to do and he can't come back and do it now.

Allegedly assaulted a security guard, got sued for £12m and didn’t turn up to defend himself in court.

Many civil cases tend to take FOREVER to get to trial. Since he didn't show up to fight anything, the Plaintiff got to say basically whatever he wanted and the judge gave them whatever they asked for (or at least that how it appears to me). I had attorneys get mad at me when they were having hearings for default judgements (other side hasn't responded/doesn't show up). They would put on their evidence of damages and then ask me to award 5 to 10 times what they had proven. I tell them sorry I'm ruling on your evidence not your request. I had one tell me one time they knew they would never collect the crazy number they asked for as the defendant had nothing. They just wanted to be able to have adds that talked about get huge judgments. :frustrated: :frustrated:
