From Zach Lowe, he has heard that Williams, who will be a free agent, will be asking for a $200M + contract. Which is pretty amazing considering how little he's actually accomplished. By point of comparison, the Suns just inked Devin Vassell, guard also drafted in '20, to a 5 year $146M contract. Vassell averaged 18.5 PPG, 3.6 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game in 38 contests last year. Vassell has shown statistical improvement in each year he's been a pro.

Better than anticipated, $90M over 4 years. Caruso traded for a starting PG but no draft picks from a team swimming in them. DeRozan gone in a sign and trade for another guard, two 2nds, and cash but no 1sts. LaVine is still the albatross around their neck as is Vucevic. Decent first round pick this year. But a strategy of finishing in the bottom 10 of teams so San Antonio doesn't get their 2025 pick is hardly a strategy to give confidence in the management.
