The Bears are matched up against the NFC West and AFC South this season. Did they get lucky and draw the toughest divisions ... again? For the AFC two are very tough, one should be pretty good while the last may have the best team in the AFC the rest of the teams are not so good. In the NFC two are fairly tough while the other two are middling. Here's my rankings based only on my meathead fan knowledge. Your rankings may differ.
AFC
- North: they'll probably beat each other up again and fall short in the playoffs, but all four except maybe PIT have playoff contender talent.
- East: the Pats are the weak sister, NYJ are very talented but will Erin stay upright. BUF and MIA are both explosive.
- South: HOU and JAX are young and talented, they just need more playoff experience. IND is a ?, while TEN is rebuilding.
- West: KC and a bunch of jamokes. DEN and LAC may give a few surprises. Vegas, in spite of Minshew, will still struggle.
NFC
- West: Niners are contenders, Rams still have SB talent, and both the Hags and Cards can score.
- North: GB and DET are ranked top ten, the Bears ARE ASCENDING (homer) while MIN has a bunch of holes to fill.
- East: Can Philly and Dallas rebound? Jints and Skins are below average teams.
- South: Three teams that all appear to be heading for another .500 season, while the Panthers enjoy the nice weather in Carolina. Nothing could be finer.
Is the NFC North the tops in the NFC? Will the AFC South surprise the NFL? In this age of parity it's difficult to tell how it will go, except that good QB play can help a team accumulate the W's.

San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.
