All the more satisfying when the Bears win Sunday.

Caleb is coming.

From Mark Potash:
The family of Bears Hall of Fame defensive tackle Steve McMichael will receive his Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence at a halftime ceremony during the Bears’ season opener against the Titans on Sunday at Soldier Field. McMichael will be represented by his wife, Misty, at the ceremony.
I wish this had happened a few years ago when Mongo could have made it there. I'm sure the applause will be loud, but the reception for him would have exceptional and he could have carried that experience with him for his remaining time.

Do you even have to do that? Unfortunately I don't see this working out well for Hopkins. I feel bad for him. He's 32, and this is probably his last opportunity to play on a competitive team. He should have sat out the first half of the season to let it heal, but time is getting short.

As a life long Bears fan and season ticket holder since 1982, I am super excited for the upcoming Bears season. Looking forward to seeing a developing offense combine with a very good defense.

Sweat, Walker and Taylor will probably all play but it's not great to start the season with your top 3 DEs all carrying knocks.

Ugh.

I guess keeping 6 DEs pays off, at least for this week.

Nice to see that they have Amegadjie listed as fully healthy! Hopefully he may see the field this year after all!

Flus said he had no concerns about Allen and Sweat and was surprised the former was even on the injury list. Taylor on the other hand sounds more doubtful after he was stepped on.

It was actually refreshing to have a Bears coach not fudge injury issues in a pointless attempt to gain an advantage. The Titans aren't going to doubt players' participation if they're listed as "questionable".

He also addressed the illegal formation issues that plagued last night's game. Apparently the league sent teams a tape which he showed the players today, but he wasn't sure if it arrived yesterday or today. I suspect it was issued after the controversy in that game to try and prevent it happening so frequently in future games.

17-13 Bears win
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Caleb, and Hell followed with him.

There's so much hype - I think they're going to have some jitters. Potentially, even trail at half. I do think they pull out a close game, though.

They'd better. A loss would REALLY suck the wind out of some very big/tall sails that have been built around them this off-season/camp.

Bears 27
Titans 23

Caleb has a costly INT and a fumble along the way. Both lead to Titans points. Bears have ups and downs in the first. Trail in a tight game 13-10 at half.

Caleb plays a very nice, clean game in the second half. Looks sharp and makes a couple of "wow" plays. Still, the Bears frustratingly still trail 23-20 in the 4th quarter. Caleb leads a TD drive. Bears D gets a stop and the run game seals it.

My prediction is that the Bears have a big win today followed by a shaky game that may be a loss against the very tough Texans. My reasoning is that there is basically no tape on Bears offense with these weapons, Caleb and Waldron. The Bears exploit that early against a mediocre Titans team and score a bunch of points. In week 2 with film available, Texans make Caleb look more like a rookie. Bears defense will be good in both games.

Cluster Fucks..so no live game for me. Got a Verizon promo get a new Samsung S23 and NFL PKG FREE. 7 calls hours talking to every outsourced support moron..one didn't know what NFL WAS ! Three "promised supervisor will call back Bullshit. No calls.

SO I bit the bullet and bought youtube..

Welp..You tube took my money or at least Wells debited. But you tube denied that I had anything since last year.

So...reversed as fraud the Wells payment 8/20..yesterday..
Then 27 years with Verizon and several supervisors later..they "promised" to get me the free NFL..WE'LL SEE. But takes 5 business days...

Mother fries chicken..asswipes..

If you have antwo line phone the sales moron listed my current number that doesn't qualify but the last guy looks and "if they set your new line as added then you get it"

I NEVER GO TO VERIZON SALRS MORONS. My wife had a 0hone die when I was out on biz..so she went to verizon. Instead of getting her cloud for. Contacts they deleted her entire contact list and every fucking photo ( I always drop to desktop at least..as I would tell her..but you know kw).

I was in hurry. My phone bricked...stopped to look and saw the Samsung. Sales moron says he'll take care of everything and moron Puts in wrong Google ac ount I haven't used in YEARS. No contacts etc.

Return..I demanded a naked phone I'll do all the programing..and go figure!
Less bloatware..I add what I need. No games no bullshit. Loved my old LG but no more LG phones

I pay for 8 phones office and home.. 10 unlimited lines...Mother Fuckers. Looking for a radio feed and Discord of course..

Stay away from young moron sales toads
MILDLY PISSED..SO MY UNCLE SAL WILL VISIT THE STORE..LATE AT NIGHT.. SAL DOES CLEAN WORK

Bears 31, Defense adds 7 points of their own.
Titans 13, No Derrick Henry, 1st time HC/OC. Young QB in his second year (Plenty of tape)
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Happily, it finally involves the Bears.... :toast: :headbang: :transform: :jump:

GAME DAY BITCHES!!!!

WOW! What a journey we have been on just to get to this point. The solid by Lovie Smith, the trade, the Panthers awful season, various moves by Poles, the draft of Williams and Odunze, and then long wait for game one. The first game of what we all believe to be a new era of Bears football.

Waldron needs to get CW into a rhythm early. Shake off the nerves, and get some momentum. I expect big days by Swift, Moore, and Kmet. On defense, it’s time to let these guys eat. Our secondary is insane. We’re banged up at DL, so the LB may end up picking up the slack. But I believe this is a Top 10 defense, maybe even Top 5. Time to put the league on notice.

Most importantly, let’s enjoy watching our beloved kick some ass and get the W! Let’s FUCKING GOOOO!!

BEARS 31
TITANS 24

I fully expect a roller coaster for our rookie.
Can’t wait to see if the pass rush can make things happen from jump street and if someone besides Sweat can make a difference (Dexter would really be a big deal). Will Booker, Hardy (if he’s active) or Taylor show up? Or is this finally time for D.Walker to fill up a stat sheet?
I think our new safety Byard is going to make a big play for us against his former team.

I’ve always been a big fan of the RB Pollard, and he had lost that burst after the injury in his return last year. Let’s hope that burst doesn’t return until a few weeks from now.
