FA
C Drew Dalman 4/56 (Cushenberry) an actual, solid starting C
DE Khalil Mack 2/23 (Z Smith) still an elite run defender, still gets to the QB, alpha leader in the room
DT Sheldon Rankins 2/16 (D Jones) veteran depth, DA ties
S Marcus Williams 1/3 (Diggs) longtime starter for Allen in NO, benched by BAL, scheme fit depth w/ history of a lot of success
LG/RG Matt Pryor 1/2 (Peat) career depth player who keeps finding the starting lineup; 39 starts in 6 years
OT Dan Skipper 1/1.75 (L Collins) swing tackle insurance, can also play G
WR Josh Reynolds 2/5.75 (C Wilson) big slot, scheme familiarity
QB Teddy Bridgewater 1/1.6 + play time incentives (Sudfeld 2023) vet backup with familiarity with Johnson and JT Barrett
RB Ty Johnson 1/1.75 (Edwards-Helaire) versatile, 4.40 speed, Swift role depth, Johnson ties
WR Michael Gallup 1/1.75 (Gallup) coming back after retiring after 2023, limitedly capable depth trying to re-establish himself at age 29
WR Mecole Hardman 1/1.2 (D Carter) elite sub-4.4 speed, gadget utility, KR/PR skills, Poles ties
DE Payton Turner 1/1.75 (K Street) Allen-specific depth
Of intentional note, only Dalman and Mack’s contracts here impact the comp pick formula - all others are either below threshold contracts, released players or re-signings). Losing Allen, Jenkins and Shelton to likely qualifying contracts (plus possibly Sanborn) should put us in line to get a late round comp pick in 2026 here.
Draft
1/10 DE Mykel Williams UGA - Prototype size and athletic tools, good run defender with elite edge rusher traits. Best player in the draft level top end potential with a low outright bust factor.
2/39 OT Aireontae Ersery MINN - 3 year LT starter, good athleticism. 2024 BigTen OL of the year over Conerly (Ore) & D Jackson (OSU). Maybe a better fit at RT skill set wise, but notably similar skill set and college experience to DET’s Taylor Decker was also a college LT w/ a RT skill set & has been very solid at LT. If Braxton Jones misses OTAs he may never get the LT job back.
2/41 RB Quinshon Judkins OSU - Judkins on game day to me looks like David Montgomery playing at 1.25x speed. Prototypical bell cow build and skill set. Good on passing downs. I think Ben Johnson will fall in love with this kid during the process. I see a perennial 1100 yard, 10+ TD back and envision years of “Q” chants on the lakefront in my head.
3/72 LB Carson Schwesinger UCLA - Elite instincts and speed that pops on tape. Worked from walk-on to All-American. Limited experience after starting on ST. Has flashed a little as a pass rusher. Should be a starter sooner than later and possibly a 2025 Edwards replacement alongside Edmunds.
5/149 C Seth McLaughlin OSU - 34 game starter at Bama and then Ohio State has good play strength and shows good recognition skills. Achilles tear in November makes him a potential medical redshirt for 2025, but a long term key reserve and potential future starter.
7/235 DT Nazir Stackhouse UGA - A 2 down run stuffer with no real pass rush production. Depth value behind Billings on run downs. Fills a role but its limited.
7/242 LS William Wagner MICH - He’s a long snapper. We need one. It’s pick 242.

A few quibbles but overall pretty good.
And literally last night I was looking at the long snapper position, cos I'm a sicko. Wagner didn't make my top 3, tho – I went with Brinkman (West Virginia), Hibbert (Alabama), and Wojciechowicz (Colorado Mines).

I also think Ersery is going to go top 20. Like 2nd or 3rd OL off the board.

I don't think you can land Mack for a 2 year deal at "only" 23M. Most reports on his contract have that being the average value, not total value.
Also, I think I'm off the Dalam train. We going to have to re-up Thuney and in a few years Jackson and Wright. i think they will try and bring back Coleman and draft a guy to take over soon.
Also, despite my fears, I think Campbell will be he guy if he is there in the 1st.

I think he's probably the #2 or #3 pure OT in the draft. Simmons is the #1 for me (pure tackle mind you), but with him being hurt and a ton of the other dudes being looked at as guards, I think it could push Ersery up.

It's higher than I'd be comfortable taking him, but this is probably a good take on his landing spot.wab wrote: Sun Mar 09, 2025 9:23 pm I also think Ersery is going to go top 20. Like 2nd or 3rd OL off the board.
