I must begin by saying I do not believe in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, or this Best Case Scenario.

SI.com had an article posted today for a Best Case Scenario draft as an exercise to see how Bear Fans would respond.

https://www.si.com/nfl/bears/news/2025- ... ars-top-10

Basically, it posed the question: If, when the Bears select @ #10 in the first round, and running back Ashton Jeanty, offensive tackle Will Campbell, and defensive tackle Mason Graham were all available, who would you select?

Yes, I'd be that little kid in the candy shop.

Excellent draft for RBs, so I'd pass on Jeanty. A little nervous about Campbell, but he would look great in a Bears' lineup. However, I'd be ALL IN on Mason Graham in this unlikely scenario as I feel he would be a pro bowler in his rookie year and even possibly DROY. The guy is special.
Do not let a day pass without letting your loved ones, be it a spouse, son, or daughter, know you love them. It matters not if it is spoken, or a kiss, hug, a pat on the back, or even a high five. Life is a gift not to be taken for granted.

Great posts to mix things up…

Honestly…I think I’d take Graham. I just think he’s going to be a tone setter for a long time. That said, RB and DT are two of the deepest position in the draft so I might still consider Mike Green.

Well Graham makes a lot of plays but he is not big enough to dominate, Campbell has only given up 5 sacks in 2500 SEC snaps but that doesn't count cause his arms are too short and drafting a running back who could only add a couple, three thousand yards to the offense instead of a perfectly serviceable reserve guard or tackle makes no sense.
Probably just pass.
The secret is to work less as individuals and more as a team. As a coach, I play not my eleven best, but my best eleven.

What a cool puzzler!

I'd have to go with Campbell, as that is our biggest need. If he fails at LT (which I honestly don't think he will), just move him to G. Or trade him , whatever.

And I still think it's 50/50 that one of Campbell or Graham will be available at #10.

Oh! I forgot to mention that while I would take Campbell with #10...Poles is taking Jeanty.

In fact, I'd wager that unless Abdul Carter somehow falls to #10, Poles would take Jeanty over anybody else.

I also saw a thing about how Shemar Stewart's (IIRC) RAS was the highest in 40 years. So, if no Jeanty, then Stewart may well end up being a Bear.

OT would have to be the pick although Banks is still available and has to be a consideration. This draft is deep in DTs, the Bears might find their 3T in the 2nd round.

Graham easy for me. If I could take any player at all in the draft he’d be second behind only Abdul Carter.

Yeah, I get it, dude. And I waver when I consider the possibilities. I think LT is our greatest need...but Graham is a special player, and would be a perfect Bear.

If we wouldn't have signed Jarrett, I'd probably take Graham and not think twice.

Absolute best case would be 3 QBs (someone reaches for Jaxon Dart), 2 WRs (Tet and Luther Burden), the Michigan CB, the S from South Carolina, Jeanty, and a LB. Then Poles pulls another 'Carolina' trade in which the Bears load up with future picks and some for this draft but still get quality OL and DL help. But it ain't going to happen.

Mason Graham. Never pass on a top 3 tech DT.

In this scenario, I'm taking Graham. No questions asked.

Abso-freaking-lutely.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Go back to leather helmets, NFL.

I think the trade that Tannenbaum projected with the Steelers is pretty much Best Case for me
