Brian Flores is an interesting name that just became available. He doesn’t have a good record but they were rebuilding and it seemed like they’d turned the corner with that 7 game winning streak. I was surprised they fired him. Anyone that can beat Belichick deserves at least a thought, imo.

Flores is probably a guy I'm calling right now for a HC interview. At a minimum you might be able to get him in as a DC

Especially if Joshy McD is who they ultimately end up with.

I think its almost an automatic that Flores is going to get another HC job this season if thats what he wants. I'd love for it to be as HC of the Bears.

I think Flores could be the Bears Billy Donovan hire. Or at least I hope so.
Holy Shit - We got Justin Fields!

In my former life I was known as FencikFanatic.

Oh, and if you were wondering - yes I'm real. And I'm fantastic.

McDaniels/Flores would be sweet!

No.

Leslie Frazier isn’t good enough. That’s another half assed meatball OMG he used to be a Bear. No real accomplishments. No real pedigree.

I want The Man.

All this Leslie Frazier stuff is so overblown. That's putting the cart about 10 miles ahead of the horse.

Here are the Sportsline website's current odds on the next Bears HC;

Leslie Frazier +400
Pat Fitzgerald +500
Jim Harbaugh +700
Josh McDaniels +700
Byron Leftwich +1000
Brian Daboll +1100
Kellen Moore +1200
Matt Eberflus +1300
Jerod Mayo +1500
Greg Roman +1500
Sean Payton +1800
Doug Pederson +2000
Ryan Day +2000

Ryan Day appears to be a long shot, as does Payton. Pat Fitzgerald came out and equivocally said he was not leaving Northwestern (but we know what that's worth). Harbaugh is high on the list with Josh McDaniels right behind him.

As much as I like Frazier, I don't think that would be a good hire for us. I forgot about Fitzgerald, I'd be happy with him. Wonder why Ryan Day is such a long shot? Out of this list, I'd be happy with: Fitz, Harbaugh, McDaniels, Daboll, Moore, Roman, Payton, Day. I'd be upset with Frazier, Leftwich, Eberflus, Mayo, or Pederson.

I’m guessing because isn’t Day the King Of Ohio right now?

We’re talking oodles of money, and maybe even control, to make that happen.

Leslie Frazier would be incredibly disappointing as the next Bears HC. Might as well just drag Jeff Fisher out of mothballs if you are trying to appease the 1985 crowd.

There was a time where I thought Fisher was one of the best coaches out there. That sure changed as he settled into year to year mediocrity. I wouldn't mind him as a team president type though, he'd set the tone in the building for sure!!

One of the things I would say about Nice coaches vs ' jerks'

Lets list a few " Jerks

Parcells
Belicheck
Buddy Ryan
Ditka ( beloved but I honestly dont consider him a great coach ) GASP!!
Urban Meyer ( just kidding lmfao )
Harbaugh eh

I want a winner. I want someone who can look at their own players and scheme to make them succeed, even if that changes week to week based on opponent. Remember how frustrating it was when Lovie wouldnt adjust at halftime?

I dunno...I would hire Hillary Clinton if it helped us win lmao

I want somebody with little more experience/resume than Joe Brady for Field's OC.

That's how I see it too.

Why do we care if the new HC is a nice guy?

You can be an asshole / jerk and still keep the locker room. It all depends on how you go about it.

If you have high standards, but still treat people as professionals and with respect, you can be a jerk and get away with it.
