Strange move. McD turned the franchise around was responsible for bringing in a lot of $$. Not sure what Wirtz was thinking. Maybe new person comes in and launches Bowman and this franchise gets fresh outlook and a new start.

I'm not kidding about this....but when the NHL announced that the season was suspended, I said at the time, "Bowman might be the happiest person in the league right now."
I thought he'd be toast if the Hawks missed the playoffs again.
