The Monsters of the Midway Fantasy Football League (MOTML) league has been a Fantasy League that has been comprised of only Bears fans from our forum for 19 years.

This is just the sign up thread for EXISTING members of the league. Existing members may post here to reaffirm participation. There are 16 members of the league. If a member or two decide to retire from the league we will be happy to post here and ask new members if they would like to join. It is a fun, full keeper league of only Bears fans with lots of history.

@UOK Any possibility that we could get a sub forum for the fantasy stuff back? Maybe off the War Room to be out of the way?

Welcome new members, thanks to everyone, we will get things started in a week or so, with Sunday Aug 1 being the keeper deadline.

Remember that you can select your 14 keepers on the ESPN site whenever you'd like.

Question about the draft.... Does everyone get the same # of picks, or if someone keeps fewer than 14 can they continue picking when others are done? There are really only 9-10 players I have any interest in keeping. My team is wholesale garbage (lol) - and I'm definitely here for the effort to build it into something better even if it takes several years. Pretty excited about finding a keeper league!!

Anyone want to trade for Phillip Rivers, Jarrent Stidham, Shady McCoy or Devonta Freeman? hehe

I'm sure all the rules will soon be posted but the short answer is that you can keep less than 14 if you so choose. That is the maximum though. The slow draft is 4 rounds, 64 picks. You can can trade players and picks to go back and acquire extra picks in the draft. Once the 64th pick is made, no players can be added until a specific time which is normally about 48 hours after the draft is completed. At that specific point the waiver window officially opens on the ESPN site and it's a bit of of a scramble (first come, first serve) to pick up remaining free agents.
