The big question is... What set him off? We can only hope AB provides his side of the story.
Can you say... Bipolar issues? Anger issues? Other mental health issues? The dude's got a screw loose.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

I was absolutely amazed that the Bucs signed him after all that helmet crap with the Raiders and that time he started throwing furniture off a balcony and almost hit a kid.
Yeah, the guy definitely needs help but he also seems like a shitty person. I'd say this is the last straw and no one will sign him again but teams get desperate in the playoffs and based on these past couple years, it seems they'll look past almost anything.

Let's just hope that somehow he gets the help he needs before he hurts himself or somebody else.

His behavior was inexcusable but I also believe it is inexcusable if he wanted transportation back and the team didn't make that happen during what was clearly an episode of some sort. I hope they offered to get him home or somewhere safely. I'm assuming they did.

Mental health is one of the biggest crises that this country faces. AB clearly has some issues and needs to get some help. I agree TMP, I hope he finds it soon. The Marshall Plan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 7:30 am Let's just hope that somehow he gets the help he needs before he hurts himself or somebody else.

Not every rich entitled asshole who acts a fool is having a crisis of some sort. Maybe he’s just a cry baby who couldn’t handle getting benched earlier in the game?

It's entirely possible. As WAB said, he's had about 20 too many chances. But I'd err on the side of caution and if he needs the help I hope he gets it. If it turns out that he's just an entitled prick (which all signs point to "yes") then absolutely, fuck him.

I 100% agree with this here, given his past issues on and off the football field.
At some point it is on the person.

So apparently he freaked out because they benched him in order to keep him from meeting some sort of playing time incentive in his contract.

Ohhhhhh shit that is LOW. I don't blame him for losing his shit, but he probably cost himself even more money. Who would take him now?

That is shitty, but at the same time, Arians told him "one misstep and you're gone," and he got suspended 3 games for COVID violations, yet they kept him anyway. Arians probably let him know that he'd financially punish him this way, but Brown clearly called his bluff since Arians put up with all of AB's bullshit for a couple years now with impunity.
Imagine how much AB crap there's been that we simply haven't heard. The guy is likely a walking drama factory with every breath, and Arians and co. are probably relieved as hell to get him the fuck outta there.

Maybe he's an asshole with mental health issues and a flair for drama.

I generally agree with this. I feel no sympathy for him. I do think he has something mentally not right. I think wording, crisis vs an issue are very different. He wasn't covered in his own shit. He made his decision.
I applaud the team for telling him to find his own ride. Fuck that, you quit, I'm sure he wouldn't have been super great on the bus/plane. He made his bed.

For someone who is too hurt to play, he sure had some nice hops and skips and jumps walking off the field.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

There's something to be said for your point here.
I have an ex daughter-in-law who has... let's call them personality issues. She lost custodianship of her kids because of psych eval done on both parents. Without getting into it which would take too long, she takes no responsibility for issues she causes and thinks she's this huge victim and everybody else is the problem in her life. It's one thing to have mental health issues. It's quite another if one knows that, but refuses to seek help or take responsibility.
