Good.
Our real #1 TE is still on the roster.

I'm sure that'll be a popular move around here. I like it.
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Why did that take so long?

Horsted was absolute dogshit in the wildcat formation so it makes perfect sense why Nagy didn’t play him.
He got Nagied.

Prediction: 40 receptions, 600 yards, 65% catch rate, 8 TDs. And a 4 year contract extension.
Guys waits 2 years even after showing some remarkable potential as a receiving TE multiple times in the preseason & the one game he started in Detroit on (8 catches and a TD). Then makes the big catch in season 3 when his number is finally called in game FIVE, his QB refers to him as "always open" (meaning he finds a way to catch the ball). And then guess what? Gets two more targets the entire season, managing to grab his 2nd TD as the clock expires on the season. Absolute malpractice.

The legend of jesper horsted rocketed past airese curry last year and is quickly approaching previously unseen levels. These readings are truly off the charts!

I dunno, I see it too with Horsted. Seems like another Zach Miller IMO. Under drafted and under the radar, keeps making plays until a coach finally believes in him. I sure hope so.

I like the Zach Miller comp. While Miller had great hands I think Horsted is even better as a receiver.
Airese Currie... I remember giving him the nickname "air raid" right when he was drafted.... then... nothing. Did he even show out in a preseason game? I don't remember him doing anything like some of the other preseason heroes.
The difference between Horsted and them is Horsted not only showed in the preseason but has delivered whenever he's had a chance in a game. A preseason mythological hero doesn't catch 8 balls for a bunch of yards and a TD in one game he gets a chance to start.

Just saw he signed. I'm going to enjoy watching them I like Carr and Waller and Renfro. They're loading up on big time weapons - like Adams and Horsted.

Horsted signed by The Raiders today after being waived by the Bears on May 13.

He was waved because of injury, right? I guess he's gotten better? Healed up?
Whatever. It's a shame he never got a legit shot to play for the Bears. He'll probably make a (small) impact for the Raiders.

Welp boys, nothing to do now but pour a drink and talk about who we think is going to give Jesper's HOF induction speech.

In one of the short news articles it mentioned he may have had Covid and potentially some lingering symptoms. I think it is clear the Bears didn't want him, and did him a favor or sorts.
I'm glad I saw him catch JF1's first TD pass in person last year, against the Raiders who apparently noticed. Raiders have Moreau and Hollister as pass-catching TEs backing up Waller - so assuming Horsted has to beat out one of them to make the team. Hope he does.

More proof that Horsted can catch anything. He even caught Covid. Next up Monkeypox.IE wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 6:23 amIn one of the short news articles it mentioned he may have had Covid and potentially some lingering symptoms. In the most limited amount of playing time imaginable Horsted made a huge impact. The guy has glue hands and catches TDs constantly.
What the fuck is the point of having a preseason and evaluating reserves when a guy produces and gets cut anyway? So what about Covid. A bunch of players got that. Not trying to be mean.

No shit. Guy puts on a clinic in a preseason game and gets fans all lathered up - especially because he actually did it in a regular season game on Thanksgiving 2 years earlier, it looked like he was finally going to get a shot during the season. Then early in the season he gets a chance in LV and of course delivers. The Marshall Plan wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:03 am

Then... nothing. No opportunity even after having earned it. On a struggling team.
Fuck Nagy I hate him so bad.

It comes down to McNagy and Pace being total morons.IE wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 7:18 amNo shit. Graham was on the roster and he was The Red Zone Guy. Then idiot Pace drafts Kmet and McNagy then plays the high draft choice instead of the player, Horsted, who actually produces.
I’ve never HATED a Bears regime before, but I hated those two idiots.
And I’m still pissed about Minshew. I mean yeah there’s the jorts wearing awesomeness plus the mullet but he’s an actual starting QB on a rookie deal that could’ve been had for a sixth round pick.
A sixth rounder. That’s like fifth CB territory in the draft. But no. Pace signs Dalton for $10M instead because he knew Lazor.
