Doing all these mocks across all the different draft sites had me thinking about a consesus board since all of the rankings are all over the place in the 2nd through 5th rounds. I used the rankings from 6 different sites (Pro Footbal Network,NFL Mock Draft Database,The Draft Network,Pro Footbal Focus,NFL Draft Diamonds,Drafttek), plotted them on a spreadsheet, then got the average ranking from all 6 cites to get a consesus average. I took out positions I feel we will not be drafting (QB,RB,K,P), then add a few prospects to positions of need that were short (OL and WR). I tried to pick just people in the top 30 to 50 of one at least of the cites, but had to go further out for OL and WR. The main piont was to get a realistic idea of who could be there when the Bears are on the clock. Looks to me our first pick might be defense if the cards do not fall right.

I am personally not enamored with the DEs on this list compared to the relative talent at other positions.
For instance Kyler Gordon had a first round grade at the end of the season. While not spectacular, I believe he’s a solid starting CB in the league and would have no problem taking him in the 2nd. Definitely better than McCreary IMO.
All 3 WRs are possible as well as a couple others not listed. The fact that they could step right in and be a legit starting contributor makes me believe they might be valued higher than the DEs.

I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

I think if Ryan Poles is really worth his shit, he can find quality ZBS linemen later in the draft.
Unless it's an elite talent on the OL, I want to see skill positions or 3T addressed (and that player had better be a stud).
More and more, I could see us drafting Perrion Winfrey if he's there with one of our picks.

I think, on that list, 39 or lower, Winfrey is the choice.
But I'd certainly listen to trade down offers, too.

Nice work. Give a bit more realistic view of where players may fall overall.
Winfrey or Hall are the two guys I believe Poles may be looking to draft for DT.
Also seems like we could trade back and still have a shot at Smith if he trips their trigger or Gordon if Flus wants a CB.
