Is anybody else getting a weird vibe about this season?
I'm getting serious feelings that we're going to experience a Major League kind of a season. Everybody thinks we're going to suck bad, but a lot of good things happen.
Overall = We're a roster of nobodys and has beens. I'm not trying to be a dick with that comment, but seriously a lot of the big name guys (even though they sucked) are gone now.
Lou Brown = Coach. Both of them just stereotypical, knee high sock wearing, lunchbox carrying kind of guys. Hilarious to be around. People you'd go to war for.
Ricky Vaughn = Soldier Fields. Kind of an unknown. Lots and lots of talent, but also prone to weird moments of suckage. (Admittedly a lot of that is not Fields' fault.)
Roger Dorn = EJax. Kind of a has been. Pretty much just playing for the money. He does the bull fighter thing on tackles now like how Dorn would do for ground balls.
Jake Taylor = Maybe Nick Foles. His body is shot. He's got like one year left. He's the old man on the team. Kind of a cool guy, but his best days are behind him.
Pedro Cerrano = Sadly we lack a Voodoo Shaman. Who knows? Maybe Monty is secretly into it?
Rachel Phelps = In my mind this is absolutely either Virginia McCaskey or George. Honestly, I'd prefer George and then Coach makes the cardboard cutout of him and each time they win they remove a piece and it's George naked.
I don't know. I just get this feeling a lot about this team that we're going to experience some cool shit this year. I'm not saying OMG THE SUPER BOWL. I'm just saying we're going to experience some pretty cool shit.

I'm glad you're stoked. I would like for the team to play more like the Bears of old on D and a modern day NFL team on O. I don't want to see a 4-12 or somesuch record but wins and losses are not important this year, it's rebuilding the team on a solid footing to be able and compete in future ones.
Drafts are like snowflakes, no two are alike.

There is a GM named Poles
Who has a clear set of goals
Heโs rebuilt his team
So Bearsโ fans can dream
Of winning some more Super Bowls

Apropos of nothing, I have always loved this joke:

Great postโฆ.and the answer is yes. Poles is building a very gritty team that should outwork people.
Thatโs said, this isnโt baseball. You need difference makers and we have few. Iโm excited to watch this team, but 2024 is our year to make our move.,

I think the similarities are probably going to end about 2 minutes in.

Yeah there's that angle to it too. They're even talking about moving the team.Yogi da Bear wrote: โSun Apr 24, 2022 10:34 amDefinitely cringeworthy.
But I guess trying to move the team Arlington isn't quite like moving it to Miami.

So maybe if they bring back Hicks, he can fill in as Pedro.
If George is Rachel Phelps (bad for the team and wanting to move them), does that put Lori Lightfoot into the role of Charlie Donovan and trying to keep the team from moving?

Somebody has to sacrifice the live chicken before we play the Packers.

Where do we send the bills for the therapy bills after you just inflicted that mental image on us all?The Marshall Plan wrote: โFri Apr 22, 2022 4:51 pm

2023 Preseason Downside prediction:
5-6 wins, never really healthy all season, a constant shuffling.
We're potentially in a position to draft in the Top 5 again, depending on the Carolina team, and probably have a low-teens (or better) pick ourselves.
