It's a great idea fellas. The ideal would be if the Bears themselves would sell McMichael jerseys this season with all the money from the sales going to an ALS charity. It would be a great way to honour a team legend.

Perhaps it might be worth reaching out to the guys at TTNL. They have a lot of contacts with Bears players, beat reporters and media personalities who have turned up on their YouTube shows. Chris Zorich and Erik Kramer are both part of their network, Olin Kreutz has appeared a few times (although he's persona non grata at the moment!), I seem to recall David Montgomery popping by during a chat with Ryan Nall etc. Maybe they could spread the word and try and get a campaign going.
I'll send them a DM on FB.

What about a registered letter to George McCaskey? (I'll be on my better than best behavior. :) )

Is it just as easy as:

George McCaskey
1920 Football Dr
Lake Forest, IL 60045

These guys raised 34k for McMichael back in the fall. #TeamMongo is a hashtag that can be used that has some built in recognition.

I guess the question is if part of donation should go to a ALS foundation or if there is a direct fund for Mongo that can be part of any donation.

Whatever you guys want to do, I'll be okay with. Just let me know. I'm probably looking at springing for four jerseys (myself and my kids) and an extra contribution. Be great if they could have "Mongo" on the back though.

Depending on your kids' size, Obvious shirts still has S and M sizes of the Team Mongo shirts. All those proceeds should still be going to McMichael per the website. Another option, though not a jesery.

This is what I'm doing.

Now in terms of my official jersey choice, I'm 99% confident it'll be Gordon. Problem is Fanatics doesn't have the Bears jersey yet. Gonna need to see if they have the Washington jersey which is perfect because it's purple....just like Prince.

I would love to own a "Mongo" jersey with the sales proceeds going either to his care or to an ALS Foundation.

On another forum we lost a member who was a former NFL RB to ALS.
