I was going to comment in the Horsted thread that I'm surprised he got past the Falcons on waivers.

I wish Kwiatoski would have come back to the Bears. They could use him. Heck, Pace never should have let him leave in the first place...

Hated to lose him in favor of DT but I fear he no longer fits the type of LB we want as a starter.

Sanborn seems like the same type of LB. But the Bears are looking more for LBs with jets on their legs for pass coverage.

True. Adam Jahns did a Bears roster projection for The Athletic and Sanborn was not among those who make the 53 man roster.

Kwiatkoski finally aged enough for Pace to find him desirable.

Pace doesn't sign players on the upswing.

Ah, thanks.

I was just wondering why I hadn't heard anything about him signing anywhere.
Starting to wonder if he really wasn't interested in football anymore.

Let's see how much he gets.

Good for him - he found another team willing to let him phone it in for additional $millions.

I did see somewhere that they already let Coward go... so the world is healing.

It took them FIFTEEN GAMES of him starting to figure out that he couldn't play!

Eddie has sucked since Vic left. IIRC Vic used to rag on him hard about his effort, Bill Parcells style. I think he brought the best out of him. What a fall, damn shame.

Well we can cross Goldman off the list of former Bears in Atlanta...
Former Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman retires

After he was cut by the Bears in March, Goldman signed a one-year contract with the Falcons on July 6 before changing his mind. He played six seasons with the Bears and was a Pro Bowl alternate in 2019 before opting out of the 2020 season because of concerns about the coronavirus.

LOL

That feels like the perfect encapsulation of his mindset for the last 1-2 yrs.

"Yeah...I guess I want to play. Well, I don't know...maybe not."

Well, I was wrong on this one. I vigorously defended Goldman and thought people were being unfair saying his heart wasn’t in it anymore. To whoever was on the other side of that argument - you were right.

Can't blame him. Retire while you still have your millions and your health.
