Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker have both been ruled out of the Jets game due to their concussions, as has Sterling Weatherford.
Fields is expected to be a game time decision according to Eberflus.

Mike White has lit up a couple of teams. The Jets offense is out to show that Wilson's not their guy, could get ugly tomorrow.

Forecast calls for wind and rain - maybe that'll help somehow.

Catching the game on replay, and just saw the Jackson injury. It feels like we've been saying this a lot this year, but dollars to donuts it's a LisFranc. Looked like he was concerned about his foot, not his ankle, and the way it seemed to slip and twist under his weight when he backpedaled would seem to point away from the possibility of an Achilles injury. Plus, the downward and inward tilt of his foot when he came out looked awfully familiar. We'll see him in TC or in the broadcast booth.
So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

S was one of the few spots on the roster that isn't needy.

Also seems like Mooney is out for the rest of the season, he's going to need surgery to repair some torn ligaments.

Could be worse (he wrote, straining for a bright spot). An Achilles would've had a broader range of prognoses, including retirement. A Lisfranc will be with him for the rest of his life, but he'll probably be back, even if he doesn't play until midseason 2023. Forgive me if I've mentioned this before, but I had the pleasure of doing both on the same play--tore my Achilles clean off the bone--and I'm only still dealing with the Lisfranc.

Did not see if anyone posted, Reiff went out with a Shoulder and Borom with a (hip?) So two more linemen to worry about. Someone posted in this thread a week or two ago about how few injuries the Bears have been having this season. Ya Spoke too Soon!
Evans was a nice change over Ebner. How this coaching staff had Ebner over Evans is beyond me.

The latest news, such as it is...
Bears notebook: Concerns linger about safety Eddie Jackson’s foot injury
The Bears were alarmed to see star safety Eddie Jackson fall to the turf with a non-contact foot injury Sunday. And given how quickly they ruled him out for the rest of the game, there was fear it would be season-ending.
That concern lingered Monday at Halas Hall. Coach Matt Eberflus said the severity of the injury still hadn’t been determined, but he was prepared to ‘‘get some young guys ready to play’’ if Jackson heads to injured reserve.
...
Chase Claypool and Equanimeous St. Brown also got hurt against the Jets, though Eberflus labeled them day-to-day injuries.

Eddie Jackson is THE highest paid Bear, with 17+18M due over the 2 remaining years.
You could normally cut bait for 9.5M, but not if he's still unable to play when the season starts.
The overall recovery process for resuming all activities may take 6 months to 1 year in some patients.
Some athletic patients never return to their pre-injury levels of sport after these difficult injuries.

We can hope, can't we? I was hopeful when I saw him catch CPat a touch late on his KR TD. But then the Jets game happened and all I saw him do at FS was chase.RustinFields wrote: ↑Tue Nov 29, 2022 12:43 pm this is all part of future hall of famer elijah hicks' origin story
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

Bears just signed QB Tim Boyle from the Lions practice squad to our active roster. Siemian was out for practice today with the oblique and Fields was limited. Pretty good indicator that they don't expect Fields or Siemian to be ready for Green Bay and it's going to be Nate Peterman on Sunday and the swooning GB defense looks to get well.

Also, Gordon and Brisker still in concussion protocol today.

Ouch. Was hoping that Getsy gave Siemian an actual week of practice as the starting QB, stopped playing the stupid mind games but with Siemian hurt, ain't gonna happen.

Some more details about the state of the team...
Bears notebook: Injuries abound as practice for Packers game begins
...
Mooney needs surgery on his ankle, and the Bears aren’t sure yet whether Jackson will need surgery on the Lisfranc injury in his foot.
...
The Bears opened practice Wednesday for the Packers game with nine players — many of them key — limited or out of practice.
Both of their second-round picks — safety Jaquan Brisker and cornerback Kyler Gordon — were still in the concussion protocol from hits they took in Week 11 against the Falcons.
The other problem in the secondary is that starting cornerback Kindle Vildor was limited by an ankle injury.
Offensively, they ended the last game without a right tackle after starter Riley Reiff and backup Larry Borom got hurt. Reiff remained out with a back injury Wednesday, but Borom was able to partially practice through ankle and knee issues.
...
Whoever plays quarterback behind that line will need someone to throw to, and the options could be slim. Wide receiver Chase Claypool was limited by the knee injury he suffered against the Jets, and Dante Pettis was out with an injury.
The only receivers who were full-go for practice Wednesday were Equanimeous St. Brown (14 catches) Byron Pringle (five), N’Keal Harry (four) and rookie Velus Jones (three).
