Did Jim McMahon assault Ozzie Newsome?

Kind of funny story about McMahon on the Browns in 1995 (believe he was on practice squad).
According to him he had a under the table deal that the Browns weren't honoring and then he grabbed the GM demanding his money and then got his release (then signing with the Packers and eventually winning another SB in 1996 as a backup). It's clear he isn't talking about Belicheck right there as he references him by name in the story. So I think it must be Ozzie who was Player Personnel Director then.
Ozzie was always known to find the loopholes and Bill has been known to flat out flaunt/break the rules. Sounds like it wasn't different in 1995!
