Looks like it'll be replaced by something...else.

It's all bad either way. Changing it to a skills competition and a flag football game won't increase viewership.

Finally, no more injury concerns
and no more of the 20th best WR becoming "a Pro Bowler", because 15 guys ahead of him had no interest and "had an injury".

*from an NFL perspective.

The Pro Bowl Week crap will 100% have tens of millions more viewers than the NBA and NHL playoffs combined. It always does, and has for years.

Fair point. I probably should have said that it will not increase the quality of entertainment.

If they're going to have a flag football game, they have to have ladies in bikinis playing.

Idk,can it be any worse than watching 4th alternates play in a meaningless game with no real defense being played?

I would rather watch a qb skills competition than that crap.

They should take a page out of the presidents cup. Have each conference field tandem teams that have to work together, against their opponents, in various drills. And incent the fuck out of the result so it’s highly competitive and not a joke - like 1M per player for the winning conference and maybe just 100K for the loser conference.

For example, one mini game could be 2v2 - 2 WRs vs 2 DBs where you get variable points based on completions, distance, etc. one hand touch ends the distance. 10 plays each side. Total points wins a point for their conference.

Another could be a FG battle like Horse or something

Another could be a pass rush vs OL still where the rusher needs to tap a tackling dummy and gets points based on how quickly he gets there, sort of like bull riding scoring.

Come up with 9 of these games, 1 point allocated for the winner of each.

I haven't watched the Pro Bowl in a long time but I would like to see the NFL version of an actual competitive flag football event, if there is such a thing.
There is a GM named Poles
Who has a clear set of goals
He’s rebuilt his team
So Bears’ fans can dream
Of winning some more Super Bowls

I haven't watched a Pro Bowl since my Army days, and AFN was our only channel, so almost 30 years. You watched what was on AFN or borrowed a VHS movie from the Library.
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Sadly, it does not involve the Bears.... :frustrated:
