I like that l, let’s keep the momentum going on offense and put 4 quarters together against the Commanders!

Washington is giving up the most sacks in the NFL. I think the Bears win this one, but Carson Wentz has a big game between the 20s.

I'm expecting a defensive struggle - two conservative, defensive minded coaches. Commanders DL is brutal, pass pro will be tested. Expect JF1 to get sacked a bunch, but I think he makes enough plays with his legs to edge out a victory

Commanders are a bad team and Wentz is a bad QB. But this Bears team plays close games by it's nature. Still, I think this is the week the Bears offense puts up 4 quarters of decent football, and the defense looks pretty good.

I'll admit, I've been a Negative Nancy on a lot of these games. But I saw some good things on Sunday, and I think (I hope) that the Chicago offense is turning a corner. The Vikings defense is pretty good, and we were able to move the ball against them in the 2nd half.
The Bears come out on Thursday night and punch the Commanders right in the junk. JF1 moves the ball effectively and efficiently down the field on their first drive for a Monty TD. From there on out it's a Washington blood bath. Wentz gets sacked five times, and the Bears get three takeaways (EJax gets another pick). JF1 throws for 300 yards and Monty has 100 yards rushing and 2 TD's. Kmet comes close to 100 yards but can't quite get there. Bears walk in this one. Commanders get a TD late in garbage time.

The second preseason is over and the governor is off. JF1 and Mooney FINALLY look like they worked hard in the offseason to get timing down - two long ones two weeks in a row are a CLEAR payoff. That said ... will we see a Kmet TD this season? He worked with JF1 this offseason too, and so far it isn't obvious. This might be a good game for that.
I have just two words for what I want to see this Thursday nigh: Harry and VJJ

Is Harry scheduled to come back on Thursday?? I liked that fly sweep to Vajazzle. I can see where he could be that Deebo type player (but of course I am under no delusion that he is of the same talent).IE wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:09 pm The second preseason is over and the governor is off. Washington has many more issues than the Bears do, so this should be a comfortable Bears win

I expect this to be tougher than it ought to be, but the Bears move onto being 3-3.

I doubt it but have been dying to bust out a sophomoric Harry VJJ comment - so just rolled with it.Bears Whiskey Nut wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:12 pmIs Harry scheduled to come back on Thursday?? Commanders - 21
I think it will be tough as the Bears continue to grow more comfortable in the new offense, but they'll have enough to get it done, though. I like Wentz to turn it over at least a couple of times, so as long as Fields doesn't do the same thing, I think the Bears will get to 3-3 on the season.

Living near DC for most of my life, I’ve come to realize this franchise tends to beat us. No idea why, it just happens. They own us, Rodgers style. But we did beat them in 2019 and I like our chances Thursday!

I remember a particularly painful playoff loss to them back in the McMahon days ... Bears had a lead but failed to gain a critical first down and Darrell Green made them pay with a game winning punt return TD ... think they eliminated the Bears at least one other time too, and both of those playoff losses were in Chicago

I am expecting ugly from both teams. Offenses will be inconsistent as hell but with some flashes. I expect Carson to cough up at least one and throw one to the Bears. There may be a pick 6.
