The biggest play in the half had to be the Patterson KR TD. But up to that point, the biggest play was the Fields miss of a wide open Mooney. Hit that one and the game is a runaway. You absolutely, positively cannot miss that layup.
I hate the talk of the officials, but we get 2 more mystery calls against us. This stuff is supposed to even out over time, right?
The Kmet catch was a great one, not because he caught it one handed, but because he got hit sideways and still hung on. Wow.
The Bears are running that QB sweep too much and the Falcons are starting to shut it down. There has to be a response in the middle to them flooding the outside with defenders.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but there was an early on play where Claypool turned to ask Fields for direction on a play. That suggests he's still learning and doesn't have stuff down yet.
Ahead 17-7 with a +2 TO ratio and 2 mis-called penalties and then we let them tie it up in the last 4 minutes. I'm starting to believe the secret squirrel tank strategy.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

The last 2 plays of that drive, Ebner leaked out as a safety valve. Fields has to get rid of the ball instead of taking the sacks.

entire offense outside of Montgomery not playing very well right now. Fields not throwing the ball well, the pass protection is not good, Ebner is a disaster at RB, not sure if any receivers are getting open. Big step back today for Fields and Getsy thus far - the latter hasn't called a particularly good game.

Fields isn’t having his best game. Falcons are bringing some interesting pressure packages and he’s dropping his eyes and missing dudes coming open (like earlier in the season).
OL isn’t playing well either though.

Ebner is more of a 3rd down back. They need to get him the ball in space and he's been open multiple times.artbest01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 3:11 pm entire offense outside of Montgomery not playing very well right now. Yeah I attribute the JF1 lack of comfort to the Oline's worst game of the season by far. Getsy isn't helping where are the quick passes? Instead we're forced to watch the (bad) Ebner completely waste downs.

It doesn't matter. Not the greatest game but if this is what a regression game looks like I'll take it.

Bears would arguably be 8-2 if they had a defense that could stop a drive.

Well, still has not driven a team downfield for a W. Wide open. Getsy sucked big time on that drive. They have to get over the fact that Fields is a good running back.

TMP, Getsy is your guy, Don't know what the hell he was thinking at the end of the game. Most ridiculous shit I have seen in awhile. His job is not to kill Fields, it is to keep him as the franchise. He failed there.

Absolutely deserved to lose that game. Why Getsy calls designed runs when the QB has a shoulder and a hamstring is a complete baffler.

Getsy is my guy.
But yeah, I don't understand what in the hell was with that. They're running him too much and you could tell earlier in the game JF1's running was not having the effect it should. They should've adapted there.
The other problem this game is that the deep ball was there. Not sure why they didn't go with that more often.
Yet if the refs call the late / illegal hit on the defender when JF1 slid late in the 4th, we're having a different outcome.
