God, I was just thinking, if Love gets the start next week the Bear's D are gonna make him ALSO look like a probowler. Which could be fucking hilarious.
It's what we do, this will absolutely happen. I'm fully aware of the talent issues, but still find myself not liking Flus/Williams defense at all. Getting a Nagy type feeling here, where the coordinator on the opposite side of the ball is the only coach worth a damn, and will probably leave. Because Bears....

Erin was knocked out by a rib injury after a hit. His backup, Jordan "Davis" Love came in and just may be the starter next week against the Bears. Just think, it might be Love and Siemian as the QBs. The Eagles ran for over 360 yards, their most since 1948. 2 guesses what the Bears' offensive game plan will be ....

Let's hope it plays out like this:

Jordan "Davis" Love starts vs the Bears and lights the defense on fire (given our injuries, that's highly likely) and the team decides to ride the rest of the year with him. Erin does what Erin does and pouts to the media. For the rest of the year, Love doesn't play as well as he did vs. the Bears (he's not facing the Bears so that also is highly likely) but he looks okay as the QB. That comes from other teams not having any/much real tape on the guy.

The year comes to an end and Green Bay gives Love a contact extension. Erin pouts some more and then says if you're doing that, I retire and don't care how much I have to pay you back, I'm in love with a witch named Blu and we don't need your worldly things and hangs it up.

Over the next few years, Love shows his performance wasn't real and Green Bay averages 3 wins per year.

Back in the Erin household, Erin walks in, sees Blu and says "Baby, I retired it's just you and me!!!"

She goes "What about all the money WE have to pay back."

Erin "We don't need worldly things we have each other."

Blu "I'm out of here you idiot. Do you have Jimmy G's cell number."

My Schadenfreude is giving me a warm feeling inside. Love watching a hated rival suffer as much as we are. Seimien is gonna slice up the pack next week!
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Sadly, it does not involve the Bears.... :frustrated:

Erin says he's playing. I never hope for an injury but if the Bears can hit him like a pinata, that would be enjoyable to watch.

The Bears don't hit anyone like a pinata. If he plays he's going to carve the defense up like he always does.

Or, you know, like Mike freaking White or Marcus Mariota.....we are a QB's best friend. I'm just sad I don't have a Packer WR to put into my fantasy lineup this week, that's been a go to move for me and paid off every time. Both Drake London and Garrett WIlson are deep bench guys that I inserted when they played our shitty team and I netted 3 TD's lol....

I picked up the Packers D this week. If the Bears kick ass and score some points, that is great, if the Pack D dominates, that works for me too.

Great picture, which would only be better if the defenders were in Bears rather than Eagles uniforms.

The Bears aren't the first team to suffer at the hand of a rival. New England behind Brady beat Buffalo 32 out of 35 games. But Buffalo has rebounded, winning 5 of the past 6, including the massive 47-17 beatdown in last year's playoffs.

His cap hit is $31M but it's $99.8M for the dead cap hit. Methinks he'll be on their roster next year.

What Happens if the Packers Trade Aaron Rodgers?

Rodgers does not have a no trade clause in his contract so he could be traded to a team as well. The timing of the option should give the Packers all the way until the end of training camp to move him. The cap charge here would depend on when he was traded. If Rodgers were to be traded prior to June 1st the Packers would take on a $40,313,750 cap hit in 2023. If he was traded after June 1st it would be a $15,833,570 cap hit in 2023 with $24,480,000 due in 2024. This assumes that the Packers did not exercise the option before the trade. If the option is exercised then the trade number spikes to nearly $100 million. There should be no need to exercise the option until the last possible day.

For the team acquiring Rodgers they would be on the hook for the salary for the year. The cap charge would be $59,515,000 if they do not exercise his option and $15.79 million if they were to exercise the option. Rodgers has an injury guarantee of $49.25 million for 2024 but that does not become fully guaranteed until 5 days after the 2023 Super Bowl. If Rodgers was cut after 2023 it would cost the team $43.725 million on the 2024 cap. If he retired they could split that as $14.575 million in 2024 and $29.15 million in 2025 using a similar June 2nd date as mentioned above in the retirement option.
Complicated, but seems very tradable to me.

They are batshit crazy for not playing Love and getting him some experience right now, IMO

I wonder if the Pack will play Love when they're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs in a game or 2.

It would make sense, especially as Rodgers is banged up.

Just like any vet, they won't willingly agree to this for the long term good of the team.

The way things are going, I would not be surprised if the Pack doesn't make it into the playoffs. It seems as if things are falling into place. Long shot I know, but damn! Vikes getting their ass kicked

Things are falling into place for these Pukes.. If they make the Playoffs and one and done they're draft will be middle or lower.
