GAME DAY BITCHES!!!!

Well we did it. Or they did it. Fields is injured and most likely not playing today. I do have some hope that Siemian will be able to complete more passes, and that we may be able to see more of Claypool and Mooney today. On the flip side, the Jets have had enough of Zach Wilson, and apparently so have his teammates. Rumor is he's an asshole in the locker room. Anyone else get a Cade McNown vibe off of that guy? So instead we face Mike White. Who the hell knows what he can or can't do. His team might end up responding to him, which will make it a long day for the Bears defense. Who it WILL be a long day for is the Bears OL. That Jets DL is no joke, and my guess is that Siemian will be running for his life early and often. In the end... who gives a shit, we're playing for a higher draft pick and looking towards next year. But we'll still be there to root on our beloved.

BEAR DOWN!!!!

Justin Fields was just declared out.
Mike White starting for the Jets.
Half of the Beloved Secondary is in concussion protocol.

This has all the makings of an icky game. Although I think we’ll see a different passing game with Semien at QB (spelling?). So, maybe….big maybe, we see bigger games out of Claypool and Mooney. Provided he’s not knocked senseless by the Jets’ DL.

I like the Jets here, 24-20.

Hoping we don’t see any additional injuries, and the Bears find some way to rush the passer, for a change.

In addition to Brisker, Gordon and Weatherford being out with concussions, healthy scratches are N’Keal Harry, Alex Leatherwood and Ja’Tyre Carter.

That's it. Since my original prediction, the Bears have lost Brisker, Gordon, Fields for sure and now Siemian. Time to change the prediction.

Jets 24
Bears 6

Siemian is just fine. He probably looked too good in warm-ups. The tank is officially on!

Nearly forgot to make a prediction this week. With everything that's gone on, who knows?

Erm...

I'm happy with the game so far, even tho we're losing. I guess it's the missing feeling of despair that I had with the mcnagy teams. I feel hopeful for the team and future. Even if we lose every game for the rest of the season.

Might be the first time in my history as a fan that I’m ok with losing for draft position.

That's what I thought too. Ugh. Elijah Hicks gets his chance to play. So that's a good consolation prize.

Jackson was grabbing his foot and not the back of his heel, so I'm wondering if it is some ligaments or tendons in his foot. Unless it's something minor I doubt we'll see him against the Pukers. Elijah Hicks, next man up. Enjoy the debut.

Siemian is passing like I wish Fields would. Bears D seemed to regroup after an atrocious first series by the Jets. Glad to see Claypool getting more work.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

Siemian showing that Fields is still a work in progress, and everybody bad mouthing the Bears talent on offense is clueless. Johnson's ballin' out. Sanborn looks like the real deal...

Now Mooney gets badly rolled up on. Damn. Really didn't need that.

The announcers said it was an ankle, though. I thought it looked like a knee injury--and a bad one, at that. Hopefully he'll be okay.
