I did a PFF mock draft and the Cardinals wanted pick#1.
So I asked for 3, 34, 66 and DeAndre for pick 1.

PFF said “This trade has a 70% chance of happening”.

I think I’d take that in real life

Damn skippy.
So much road and so few places, so much friendliness and so little intimacy, so much flavour and so little taste.

Friendship is better than fighting, but fighting is more useful.

Yeah I would take that deal.

Because Tee Higgins is My Guy if we can get an elite WR here is what PFF said about a trade down with the Bengals.

Bears:
#1 Overall

to

Cincinnati
2023 #26 overall pick: Anton Harrison LT from Oklahoma
2023 2nd #58 overall pick: Cooper Beebe G from Kansas State
2024: 1st and 3rd
2025: 1st
Tee Higgins

I'd take that deal to. My thoughts on Higgins (on a text thread where we discuss him a lot) as the most likely way he were to be acquired is if we pick up a future first, late first, or high second in any trade downs this year. Then that pick is flipped

I agree that's the realistic method. A trade down with the Bengals to get him, or just a plain vanilla trade down with them, is absurd. They just don't have the picks to do it.

I gave up a high second round pick (acquired from Indy) and a 5th round pick for Tee Higgins and a 4th round pick on PFN.
Got DeForest Buckner and picks on a trade down with Indy, drafted Anderson at 4 and got Tee Higgins on a trade with Bengals.
Nice

Of the two scenarios I like the one with the Cards for the 3 better.

Getting the 3 pick allows us to trade down again whereas the Bengals pick does not.

Nothing against you but I flat out hate this move.

With the way the Bengals are playing those two firsts are going to be at the end of the first round every year.

If this is the best we can do then I say take Anderson at number 1.

Hey Champ,

Next time read the rest of the thread. I referred to it as absurd. We were just horsing around.

So no, don't worry, I'm not offended. LOL.

Nothing wrong with entertaining the notion of a straight up trade for Higgins, though. I'd still rather have Hopkins, but Poles could do his trade down (or trade downs), see what he can come up with, then make the Bengals a reasonable offer of picks for Higgins. The Bengals will probably have to get rid of him somehow anyway, the price may not be that prohibitive...
