I'm loving Josh Downs right now. Silky smooth in the drills

I just wish he (and the rest of these WR Smurfs) was bigger.

Are you a Quinton Johnston guy @wulfy or you're waiting for next year to draft your big x?

Aren't he and Chase brothers? Illinois daily double?
Identical twins, actually.
I want them both.

Stetson Bennet and Tyson Bagent surprising me in the drills, too.

So far I like a bunch of little slot WRs and a few backup QBs that can't run. No help for the Bears that I can see. Oline, RB, and TE are going to be good though. Looking forward to them

People falling over themselves to proclaim Anthony Richardson a future bust because of his combine measurables sure is embarassing. This shit is fun, embrace it and get excited!

That Illini defensive backfield is one of the best in the country.

Drafting both would really be the smart way to go

I was looking for a good Daunte rolling gif to respond and found this, which is even better:

If Poles is looking to be "blown away" then Richardson did that at the combine. I'm hoping he just stays with Fields though

MY GUY! Zach Kuntz tore it up
:headbang:

Of course, that means the days of taking him in R6 are gone.

That was a hell for a day for him. Day 2 early day 3 pick is on the horizon.

Better than the Kelce brothers if they drafted both.

Earlier I was kidding, talking about the track and peanut butter and the safety's abysmal times.
But now I'm really starting to wonder.

The first two sets of positions (DL + LB) were fast. Since then times have seemed pretty ordinary, maybe even on the slow side.
You could claim that DL + LB were just really fast this year. But, without researching heavily, my recollection is that this track has been very fast ever since they changed the surface a few years ago.

So...is it possible for somehow the surface to have been "different" for the later groups? Wear? That seems kinda far-fetched to me, but...I'm also scratching my head, trying to account for what I'm seeing otherwise.

Skowronski looked pretty meh in the drills. The other top tackles stood out with movement, power, or size.

Juice Scruggs caught my eye and could be a nice 5th round C. I went back and watched his tape and he looks solid. Not an ass-kicker like JMS but a good backup if they’re willing to keep a “center only” on the roster

Scruggs is one of My Guys. He's on the fringe of the Bears' athleticism expectations, but then so was Doug Kramer last season.

He has experience at G too, during his time at Penn State (17 starts at C, 9 at RG).

I think Oliver is a good comp. He was a top 10 pick, and based on the combine, it's entirely possible that CK cracks the top 12.
