I think the team feels good about Sanborn in the middle - leaving the WILL and SAM still open. I see the SAM as a two-down role (maybe one down in the current NFL).
Some players at Linebacker I like, not in order:
- Jack Campbell | Iowa (a whole thread devoted to him here - can play WILL)
- Noah Sewell | Oregon (a MLB in college - could play SAM or spell Sanborn in the middle - downhill player)
- DeMarvion Overshown | Texas (WILL - would love to pick him up at 3/1 - super productive, former DB)
- Owen Pappoe | Auburn (played MIKE at Auburn at 220 pounds - translates to WILL in NFL - battled injuries in College, so discounted ala Eddie Jackson - ran an amazing 4.39 at the Combine)
- Sleeper: Dee Winters | TCU (WILL characteristics, but if nothing else will be a really good special teamer)
Dean Brugler's list (pre combine):
1. Drew Sanders \ Arkansas \ 6-5, 232
2. Trenton Simpson\ Clemson \ 6-3, 234
3. Henry To'oTo'o \ Alabama \ 6-1, 230
