2023 MOTML Rookie/FA Draft

This is the thread for official draft picks once the draft starts. Please pick during your specific time or before if it has reached your pick. If you do not think you will be able to make a pick, please submit a list to me via PM or email and I will do our best to make the pick based on that list during your specific time. Do not edit any posts in this thread, and no changing picks once they have been made. You may pick any rookie or free agent (players not kept) with any of the picks. The list of free agents should just be players available on the player’s page on ESPN.

*Note: If the person before you has picked then you can make your pick even if it has not reached your time slot yet. It is possible that the draft could be ahead of the actual schedule. If a player misses their pick (end time for the pick has passed) then the manager after can pick in their time slot. The manager that missed their pick can still make a pick at any time until the end of the draft of any of the players still not picked, but cannot pick a player picked legally after the missed pick because of the missed pick.

*ALL TIMES ARE CHICAGO TIME (CST)*

The draft now reflects only 15 teams and the 3rd round reversed (just this round this year)

I think we have my trade wrong, though know it’s a lot to keep track of.

Confirmation has:
Punchers get Irv Smith and Amon St Brown
Eskimo gets 2022 R2 pick ( 26) and 2023 2nd and 4th round pick.

So I believe I keep 19 and 51 and get 17 and 49.

I thought the third round was in reverse order? Shouldn't I have pick 37 rather than 44?

Also I'm confused. We have an 18 man roster and are keeping 14, why do we have 5 rounds of picks? That would get us to 19 players on our roster.

We are keeping 12 + 5 rounds = 17 and 1 more player to pick up after.

Okay the Information thread said we were reducing from 18 to 14, so that threw me off.

Thanks for managing all this.

So with 15 teams do we go to 3 division of 5 teams?

Each division winner and the next 3 teams with best record make the playoffs (playoff in weeks 15-17) with the top 2 teams getting a bye, or top 2 teams from each division with the next two teams and no byes?

Honestly, we don't need to have divisions with winners auto advance. Since we'll all play each other once with a 14 week regular season schedule, my suggestion is best team gets a bye, top 6 after that get in.
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Thanks, BBF. I like getting the show on the road early. I traded up out of desperation to get a RB. Still, I've been considering offering a trade down from 2 if someone had an *extra* top RB and was willing to part with one because they coveted Burrow or DK or someone.

But looking over the teams, I don't see that happening. So .... with the 2nd pick of the 2023 draft, IE (Daisycutter) selects: Jonathan Taylor, currently of the Indy Colt.

So August 28 at 10:00 a.m.(the time for Shufflin' Crews pick to be submitted by), it's just "open season" for everyone to make a pick.

Well I thought that someone drafting ahead of me would take someone not on my list. But the top 9 players on my big board are all gone, so I'll take the guy I had at 10 Zay Flowers. Hopefully pairing him up with Lamar will pay off.

I added him to my team on the site as well. Didn't know if I was to do that.

Man I was hoping you'd take Young. Richardson is a GREAT pick in keepers. I think he will be racking up a ton of points in a few years.

Thx he's the guy I had in mind when I traded up one spot...I thought either he or Pollard would be there at 5, but both might have been gone at 6 and I'd have taken DK Metcalf (who I love, but I NEEDED a RB badly)

Mouse seems to have missed his turn but I think that's fine & I'm not likely picking the guy he would.

So since my clock started Daisycutter selects Dalton Kincaid TE Buffalo
