The Toilet Bowl. How do the Bear continue to get these prime games? They sucked last year and not sure how execs thought they would be world beaters this year. And to pair them with Carolina? Who ever did this ought to be fired.

Panthers - 9
Bears - 6
Shitty game to watch for sure.
I think every team has to be on national tv at least once per year. The NFL probably figured the Bears are crappy enough that this might be a close game. Too many shitty games since 2019 but I think the Bears actually roll in this one.
Bears: 27
Panthers: 17
After some thought, I'm amending my guess. The above is based on Getsy calling a game like the first 3 quarters of the New Orleans game. If, however, he reverts to Getsy Prime and calls it like the 4th quarter of the NO game, I'm saying:
Panthers: 17
Bears: 10

I mean...what's the point. No one cares but these two teams, and us more than Carolina because we own their pick. I think this game gets ugly fast. Justin is rushing back to try and prove he can still play QB, but can't grip the football properly, and will throw 2-3 int's before coming out in the 3rd quarter. Bagent leads the team to a scoring drive or two, but again, no one really cares. I think this is a game where the Bears pass rush finally gets home on a regular basis, and the secondary comes up with 1-2 picks. The whole game will be a shit show with a total of eight TO's between the two teams. The least watched NFL game of the year ends up in a miserable last second FG miss by Carolina, giving the Bears a win, yet doing nothing to prevent the Bears from firing the entire coaching staff at season's end.
I think the Bears win this one. It will be interesting to see how long Al Michaels can go talking about the game straight before devolving into just poking fun at how bad these teams are.
That said, I expect a weirdly entertaining and surprisingly competent looking game by both teams. They're both trash and will match up well with each other in that respect.
These guys both suck. Thursday night football gets awful games. But we are going to win. How is that going to happen given that whoever we play at QB seems to have a desire to throw picks? The offense line, that how. Specifically the two guys I feel are with us for the long wrong - Jenkins and Wright. Only not in the manner you think. Late in the game with the score tied 0-0 the Bears are driving to score to win the game. Time is running out and the Bears need to get about 20 yards to have a realistic shot at a FG. But then the Bears' QB, whoever that may be, does what they have done all year - throws a killing interception that the DB starts to return. But my main man Jenkins is there to say "hell no!!!!' Jenkins lays in a bone crushing tackle that jars the ball free. Wright was flying over to try and make the tackle as well, but seeing the ball on the ground he scoops it up and races 54 yards for the TD as time expires. On his "scamper" Moore,. Kmet, Mooney and R. Johnson all lay out decleater blocks on Panthers trying to take him down.
Bears - 7
Winners of the top pick in the '24 draft who have to give the pick to the Bears - 0
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!
Our 5 wins with Flus are over Trey Lance, Davis Mills, Mac Jones, Sam Howell, and Brian Hoyer. On a short week after throwing 3 picks(two for 6), Bryce Young absolutely should be added to that list.
Not the orange crush unis - aaugh! I think the Bears got a few night games this year was due to the "assumption" that Fields would be ascending, and viewers love watching a QB run downfield. Getsy has some other opinions about that. They're scheduled for another MNF game against Minny on the 27th. Speaking of running, the Panthers rank 25th in the league for rush defense, so Flus slaps Getsy upside the head to run to the right (fool). DJ Moore has a big homecoming and gets a few long passes, and Tyler Scott has his big breakout game.
Bears 31
Panthers 20
FUN NOTES
- Talking to some Carolina fans this week and they're ready to bench Young and have Andy Dalton take the reins. He was brought in to help prepare Young, but it does not seem to working out. Sound familiar?
- For those of you wanting a one-legged Tarik Cohen to replace VJJ, it turns out he's on the Panthers roster and was just put on IR. Glad to see him back in the NFL, too bad he's injured again. Can you imagine how Getsy would have used Tarik in this offense?
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.
I've got a feeling this one will look uuuuugly. Fields makes some good plays and some picks with his throwing off a bit from the thumb, but gets us ahead enough to win. D.J. Moore comes up big against his old team, and them missing Burns makes our line look decent.

You took mine.
The Bears are getting players back from injury and the Panthers are getting the injury bug. It will be interesting to see how our bad pass rush does vs. their bad OL. I think Young will have some success. But whoever we have at QB will have more. It's possible that we blow them out. But it's the Bears, so I'm leaning conservative.
Bears 25
Panthers 17
Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".
It really doesn't make sense to me to play Fields in this game, unless his thumb is perfect. Playing at 80% isn't in his interest or the Bears interest. Let him have the mini-bye to heal up further.
