Patrick turned 30 this year, so it's time to source a replacement anyway.

I'd love the Bears to sign Lloyd Cushenberry from the Broncos this March. Hell, I wanted them to sign Evan Brown last spring, and I'd be happy to give him a Lucas Patrick deal this offseason as well.

I suspect they'll prefer to draft somebody, though.

Watching some old footage of Fields reminds me of how poor a blocker Mustipher was but actually his snapping was not a disaster like the incumbents
