Says he hasn't accomplished either of his personal goals. Since he got to Ohio State, they have not defeated Michigan or competed in the Big 10 title game. Two things that are could be much easier to do if Harbaugh is gone. Something to keep an eye on.

Posted on this in the 'Draft Season Is Already Upon Us' thread in Halas Hall. Here's the link I posted in that thread:

MHJ declared for the NFL draft on Thursday. Let the drooling begin. Another guy teams are going to feen for, might be one a team wants to trade up for to the Bears' benefit. Meanwhile, Harrison's teammate, Emeka Egbuka, announced he is returning to school for the 2024 season. Egbuka was a potential 1st round player.

If the Bears somehow miss out on MHJ because they take a QB, they sure as shit better figure out how to get Odunze.

Maybe take inspiration from Texans last draft. Sitting at #2 and trade up to take #3 too.

That' s my 1st. pick in the draft , No matter what. Trade down and get him , or pick him #1 The one sure thing in the Draft. Moore and Harrison w/ our TE and Fields? And a new OC? Sounds great to me

If I could squeeze another draft pick out of someone, I'd be pretty happy to pass on Harrison and grab Nabers.

Nabers is slick but that big bodied guy will complement DJ. I'm big on Odunze, saw him a lot this year and he has a lot of talent and hustle.

Nabers is basically a faster Brandon Aiyuk.
Odunze is a more refined Jordy Nelson.

There's a lot to like about Odunze's game--I was a fan last year before he returned to UDub--but I doubt that he's nearly all of 6'3", and he plays smaller than his actual height. He's very good, but he's not a terrifically stark complement to Moore.

Places I trust in their estimates have him around 6'2 1/2 and 215.

We obviously won't know for sure until the Combine, but I'm comfortable going with that until then.

He's smooth and has excellent hand technique. He makes contested catches very well, though I suspect that's due in part because he doesn't have top-flight explosion and has probably like 4.5 speed. (Still a fuckuva lot faster than me, mind you, but pretty average for an NFL receiver.)

This is where I'm at.

I'd be thrilled to have either one, but if I can choose it's Odunze.

This is who I want the Bears to draft so badly. Perfect scenario to me is fleece New England to drop down to #3 and take Harrison there. New England will be horrendous next year with a very legit chance at #1 overall yet again. Their floor is probably #5 overall pick next year. They jump up to get the #1 QB on their board. Washington then takes a QB and the Bears gladly grab Harrison at #3. I am not taking away from Nabers or Odunze, they both would be good picks. But Harrison, in my opinion, is overall safer and less likely to bust. The talent, the size, and of course the bloodline. He's been "coached" his entire life by a HOF WR. I just don't see Harrison being a bust at all. Will be completely shocked if he does not live up to the hype and expectations.

Very fair points. I think 2,3 and 6...Can't say 5 as I'm just not sure why the Chargers would be moving up. And 6 worries me - I think you need to come away with one of the Top 2 WR

We're veering dangerously into territory I've been trying to avoid for two years now: Odunze really does look like a somewhat less refined Nuk.

I would not disappointed if Poles drafted MHJ #1... Yes, I personally hope we trade the pick and get a haul of great picks, but he seems to really be the best player of the draft.

MJH and Moore with Fields at QB with an improved OL, Herbert and RJ would have to be, at the very least, a dynamic offense.
