Time for a fiery Campbell speech. Or maybe a hot bowl of Campbell's soup.
It's about time SF woke up and got Samuels the ball. An obvious adjustment but it has been effective. Time to get Georgy Kittle the ball.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

Goff is hitting WRs for the most part. Mental mistakes with pressure to win. Too many drops
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!

Lions WRs turned into the regular season Chiefs WRs. Good run by the Lions.

Felt like the lions melted to the pressure and that the niners just said enough and imposed their will.

Besides the penalties and the fumble, giving up on the running game played into KC's hands. Yeah, they got stuffed on a few runs but it was almost Getsy-like on their play calling, abandoning the run.
At least we got to see Taylor Swift ... YEAH (not).

Detroit looks like the #1 seed by halftime while the Niners struggle. Purdy looking more like the last pick in the draft. Maybe Bagent should be more like Goff than Purday? Curious to see the halftime adjustments by genius Shanahan.
Well, Shanahan stepped up

The adjustments the Niners have made in the second half over the last two weeks have been exceptional.

I don't know what the Ravens were trying to prove by abandoning everything that got them to the Championship game and trying to turn Jackson into a pocket passer for 4 quarters. What a weird game plan that was.

And the Lions... ohhhh the Lions. Dominated the entire first half, and just crumbled in the second. Ooof.

Niners - Chiefs is going to be a fairly underwhelming game IMO.

I am thinking this SB could be epic. Another 9er v Bengals type game.

I also think it has a lot of potential to be a great game unless the 49ers get behind early. They've come out fairly flat against the Packers and Lions - that won't work against the Chiefs. Purdy is still very inexperienced and Mahomes is, well, Mahomes. I was surprised to see the game open with the 49ers as favorites - hard to bet against the Chiefs here, imo.

Same here. It's virtually impossible to not pick Mahomes. This is the NFL version of Jordan. He's going to win.

Admittedly I'm burnt out with the whole Kelce-Swift thing. The coverage is just too much and a pop star is hijacking football games.

Even though her music isn't my thing, I don't have anything against her. It's just that seemingly every couple of minutes they cut to showing her reaction to things.

They should cover it no different than any other celebrity in the stands. Show it once and then leave it at that.

Eh, I remember them showing Paris Hilton every five minutes when Urlacher was dating her. Taylor has brought an abundance of new fans to the NFL, so I view it as a good thing for the most part. The broadcasts have chilled out on talking about her over the action on the field...but at first it was pretty bad.

I also don't want my daughters watching me complain about her taking up a handful of moments in a football game. It's just not the message I want to send.

This.

Additionally, Swift is that generation's version of Madonna, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Elvis Presley. Everywhere she goes is news. I think it's a sweet story and it doesn't diminish my enjoyment of the game at all — they're not showing her in the club box while the play is still going on.

My wife is a huge "Swiftie" so it doesn't bother me as much because I hear about her all the time.

I'm just worried the Swift stuff is cutting into the real reason we're all watching: 27 commercials an hour of Patrick Mahomes trying to sell us bundled insurance plans.

Could be worse. Aaron Rodgers used to be the one selling them.

As far as Swift goes, it is distracting from the game but it does bring some folks who may not have previously been interested in the NFL. Their interest typically goes about as far as asking which one is Travis and remarking how some of the players have cute butts. On one news show giving a brief highlight of the game, they showed Kelce scoring and then Swift jumping up and down. He's getting a lot more endorsements/commercials too. Rolling in the dough.

I figured the Chefs would beat the Ravens. Mahommes is gonna Mahommes.

I had the Lions over the 9ers. I was really rooting for them. But, Detroit gonna Detroit. They had a great run though. I actually hoped they would win it all, leaving only the Vikes as the only Old Maids in the Division.
A new Era begins in the NFC North!

Sadly, it does not involve the Bears.... :frustrated:
