What do you propose we do with Cairo then?
Have him work on his KOs of course. His leg's going to get awfully tired from so many every game.

The Bears have to be pleased through the first OTA with his progress. The D is doing everything they can to confuse him and he's slowly learning how to adapt. He's thrown some INTS from trying to force the ball in to coverages but he's also thrown some rope TDs. They're working big time on his cadence. Edwards said he's learning to misdirect the D with his eyes. No one is going to be harder on him than himself and that bodes well for him having success.

I think he works better on Kickoffs too.......don't think that should put Cairo in danger though (perhaps flesh that out? Do you mean of being cut?)

I was just joking Cairo isn't going anywhere.

I do want to try Crocodile Punter on KO tho. The team that gets ahead of the game and figures a trick out on KO is going to greatly benefit. Id like that to be the Bears

I like this video strictly for it's analytical insights and intellectual enlightenment.

Two very smart, well spoken, articulate, professional looking women discussing football.

I respect them both for their minds.

Them may do that early in games but once they are up by a ton that would just be running up the score and in poor taste to do that.

Yep - I think he will wind up being the Kickoff guy. Could really be a weapon there as well

They'll have racked up so many points by half time they'll spend the second half running down the clock with a couple of 12 minute drives, so not much scoring.

Back to the Caleb rumors….

Caleb Williams is not married because he is terrified of having a mother-in-law. (As well he should.)

You guys want another mother-in-law joke?

I never believed in Wishing Wells until my mother-in-law fell down one.

I feel bad for you. I have great in-laws. Occasionally annoying, but on the whole wonderful.

Maybe TMP...your attitude is defining your altitude...

Actually, I remember the story you told me about your MIL. So...probably legit.

What does a turkey and a mother-in-law have in common?

Seeing them once a year at Thanksgiving is plenty.

Thanks for the link to the video. It was nice to see two lovely ladies in high heels talk football.

I could see myself sandwiched between them ... at a sport bar hoisting a beer and debating the finer points of the Bears.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

Kevin Warren on Caleb:
“The thing that’s really special is his competitive spirit… He’s a passionate young man, He’s a leader. And he’s won at every single level."

“He’s determined to do all he can to be exceptional, to be great, and to work hard. He doesn’t act like your normal top pick in the draft. He’s there early… he’s there late. And he’s doing all he can do be able to be an absolutely exceptional quarterback.”

Caleb Williams eyes summer plan with Bears offseason program over
By Patrick Finley

Caleb Williams is leaving Halas Hall for the summer but will see his teammates again soon.

The Bears’ rookie quarterback and his teammates — both offensive and defensive — plan to meet up again during the team’s break between now and mid-July. They’ll work on passing routes, sure, but also plan on spending plenty of time together off the field.

The team text chain hadn’t settled on a location as the last OTA finished Wednesday, but Williams figures it will be somewhere in California or Los Angeles. Williams trained in Jacksonville and went to college in Los Angeles.

Planning a trip was an idea hatched by Williams and six-time Pro Bowl receiver Keenan Allen. The Bears’ veterans broke for the summer last week, while rookies stayed for three days of OTA practices this week.

Williams is thrilled to have the camaraderie of teamwork back in his life.

“I had from Nov. 18 to April 25 of not being on a team,” he said. “You realize how much you miss it.”

That’s what this time of year is for.

“The biggest thing that I accomplished was one, building a connection with my teammates …” he said. “And also just hanging out with the rooks and us going to movies, hanging out, going to dinners.”

This is was a slightly different Caleb. Talked business nearly the whole time.

He had every right to celebrate his drafting and the immediate aftermath, but it's good to see him get down to business and talk about putting in work everyday.

To answer the question posed: No.

I think every football player is going to have some non-football pursuits/activities. Be it fast cars and women - or investments.

Heck - I think the biggest change for a Football player (person in general) - is having a child. I very rarely see fans thinking - on man Player X is having a baby - that's gonna hurt his game

From the article:

"I always planned on being both an athlete and a businessman," Williams said. "As I've reached many of my athletic goals and dreams, multiple business opportunities have also surfaced. Athletes are often inundated with and distracted by these opportunities.

"To eliminate the potential for distraction, it was important to me to immediately set up a business operation with established, trusted partners and advisors I've known for years."

Sounds to me like the whole point of this business is to keep him from getting distracted by business stuff.
