Generally discord is the place on draft day. I usually miss it because it's always the same weekend as my annual guys getaway and there's just not a lot of cell service in the boonies of oklahoma.

Ha, we all know you live at least 30 seconds in the future compared to the rest of us! You're bound to reveal the picks before we see them announced.

the only way I will ever watch television of the NFL draft ever again is if Mel Kiper has a monkey throw shit in his face, live on the air, every time he opens his ignorant arrogant mouth

At least this year we can be fairly certain that when the Bears draft the network won't be on a commercial break or completely focused on the Cowboys war room

Will it be the same points system as last year?
I recall doing very badly. I blame the idiot who proposed that system (rather than my complete ignorance of college football).

Should be the same system, scoring-wise.HisRoyalSweetness wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 1:38 pmWill it be the same points system as last year?

That same monkey could throw shit at photos of players and be better at draft forecasting than that worthless sack of shit Kiper.

The Jalen Carter watch made it very interesting. This year I'm assuming the Bears keep #1 and take Williams. However, maybe they pull a last minute deal with the Commandos, trade back with to 3 with NE, trade back again to 8 to 15, end up with McCarthy or Penix or something and we'll see Discord blow up.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

I wish I could join everyone for the discussion, but it seems like I'm on the road traveling with the wife every draft and can't really justify tuning them out for 3 days.

NOBODY foresaw the massive yield on that trade down from 1 nor did they foresee Darnell Wright last year.Otis Day wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:11 pmDiscord will blow up no matter what Poles does.Grizzled wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 1:58 pm

Maybe that’s the thing?
Maybe the Curve Ball this year is Poles does what most people think he will do. Draft Caleb Williams.

I thought Darnell Wright was predicted pretty widely, once they made the trade down from 1. But I generally agree that Poles tends to do a bit of the unexpected (sign 2 linebackers on day 1 of FA last year, trade Roquan instead of extending him, surprise trading for Claypool and then Sweat, etc), and I'm looking forward to him surprising me again this year - whether that's in FA, the draft, or both. The Marshall Plan wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 3:23 pmNOBODY foresaw the massive yield on that trade down from 1 nor did they foresee Darnell Wright last year.

During the game I can't help but be reactionary... but during the draft? Never ever ever.HisRoyalSweetness wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 10:33 pmHa, we all know you live at least 30 seconds in the future compared to the rest of us! You're bound to reveal the picks before we see them announced.
@Bears Whiskey Nut ruined the Cole Kmet pick for me and I vowed I would never comment on our drafted player until it was not only said on TV but mentioned by someone else in the chat room.
We're big on no Twitter/X/Online spoilers either during draft time.

Yeah, who is it that is always posting about plays before I see them during games? Can you expand the amount of time you are in the future and go to the draft and let us know what happens? If you can't go that far can you get to the point so we know everything we will be getting for 1.1?Chifaninca wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 4:44 pmNot wanting to see this or Queen Latifa Pics in Discord...The Marshall Plan wrote: ↑Thu Feb 29, 2024 4:08 am

Holy crap I just realized I'm traveling and will likely be in Chicago for Draft Day 1. Will see what that means for where I'll be able to watch it but will try to be on Discord to trade nuggets with you well-meaning clowns.

What we really need to know is if you're getting a puppy this year to name Williams.
