Hi folks, it's that time again for your chance to win $50 to the official Chicago Bears online gift shop! The 2024 Bears Fans Online Draft Contest is here, and, for this year at least, it's going to be a little different.

Courtesy of @HisRoyalSweetness, whose idea I am wholesale employing here, the objective this time around isn't to assemble a perfect first round prediction, but to accurately guess the Bears first four draft picks.

For each entry, provide 3 players for each selection (you don't need to specify the pick or the round, just the players). The points will increase in each subsequent pick, as those are more difficult to predict.

First pick:
Choice 1: 7 pts
Choice 2: 4 pts
Choice 3: 1 pt

Second pick:
Choice 1: 8 pts
Choice 2: 5 pts
Choice 3: 2 pts

Third pick:
Choice 1: 9 pts
Choice 2: 6 pts
Choice 3: 3 pts

Fourth pick:
Choice 1: 10 pts
Choice 2: 7 pts
Choice 3: 4 pts

-----

Here's an example using last year's draft as a reference:

First pick

Choice 1: Player A
Choice 2: Kyler Gordon (4 points)
Choice 3: Tyquan Thornton

Second pick

Choice 1: Jaquan Brisker (8 points)
Choice 2: Cam Jurgens
Choice 3: Trey McBride

Third pick

Choice 1: Desmond Ridder
Choice 2: Alex Wright
Choice 3: Velus Jones Jr (3 points)

Fourth pick

Choice 1: Sam Womack
Choice 2: DaRon Bland
Choice 3: Kyle Phillips

(0 points from the last pick)

TOTAL: 15 points

-----

Tiebreakers: Whoever scores more accurately in the 3rd and 4th pick slots will serve as the initial tiebreaker. If there is a perfect two way tie, the $50 Chicago Bears online store gift card will be split. If there is a logjam tie among multiple members, chaos will reign and I will come up with something, perhaps a parking lot knife fight.

Please let me know if you have conflicts or questions, and best of luck to all.

I'm aware that this is a total crapshoot for the last picks of the Bears, so if anyone would prefer to do this the old way, where we lay out the entire first round and guess trades/etc, we can do that too.

Blimey, you're keen @Magilla_Gorilla! Only 10 minutes after UOK started things rolling and you're in there like a shot.

Sorry, I've been flying all over the world, attending pro days, meeting with agents, crunching an ungodly amount of tape, pouring over 23andme results...

I'm gonna sleep for a week when this is done.

I'd be highly surprised if Poles doesn't move around and end up with at least 6-7 picks, even if several come in later rounds.

Interesting.

As I'm totally in the opposite camp. I think Poles is good. He's happy.

He could be. I suppose it depends entirely on who's available at each selection, but he's ended each of the first two drafts with more than 10 picks.

It's a new phase--we'll know what Poles wants when he pulls it off.

I HONESTLY think he's good, though. QB, DE, WR. And, who can really argue against that?

I would not, although I will be surprised if he picks who people are projecting he does (aside from CW). I agree with your sentiment that we'll know when Poles does it.

Don't think he'll end up being a good pro, or do you just hate the Wolverines?
