Sorry to see him go.. Wish him all the best except of course against the Bears..
What did Bears get ?
Draft picks ?
I really like the Man but he needs to be coached up for some flaws of course..
So no more JF1
Justin Fields traded to Pittsburgh for conditional pick

Lousy return for a talented but raw QB

Fuck. I hope he kills it in Pittsburgh.
Now we need to trade 1.1 and grab anyone other than Williams.

That's an understatement. It's not even a pick in this year's draft. I'm genuinely shocked out how little Poles has managed to get for him.

If Fields plays less than 51% what will PB do with the 5th years optiont ? Extend him to alleviate the cap hit ?

Best of luck and thanks a million to Justin Fields. Sorry to see you go.
There is a GM named Poles
Who has a clear set of goals
He’s rebuilt his team
So Bears’ fans can dream
Of winning some more Super Bowls

Wow we severely overestimated his value.
Good luck to him. Generally seemed like a good dude. Always want those types to succeed.

Inevitable end, hope he does well except when playing the bears.
This was most likely the best offer they got.
Expect CW at 1, and multiple trade downs from the 1.9 unless someone super drops.

Poles has done right by Fields.
Terrible return but the market is the market and as DJ says ‘business is business’.
I wish him all the best in Pittsburgh, he was a model pro for the Bears

His contract is part of it, to be sure.
But I'm sure surprised he had less value than Mac Jones. He's a better QB.

I mean I figured Fields was gone, but this feels like a kick in the nuts. Horrible return. Seems Steelers GM has Jedi Powers that Poles hasnt learned yet.
Oh well. I mean hell how could Poles have done worse if he just held on to him even after the draft to see if anyone had camp injuries. Eh
NEXT UP!! We welcome a new QB AGAIN
fuck please get it right

The market doesnt think so apparently. I'm very suprised by the return. Even Fields detractors over rated his market value.thunderspirit wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:07 pm His contract is part of it, to be sure.

I think that speaks volumes of our biases as fans.

I will miss watching him play. He was a very exciting player to watch. He did inherit a shitty situation which did not get better until last year. He was also a likeable guy and somebody very easy to root for.
Nothing would make me happier than for him to have a great career.
That being said, he is no longer a Bear, I am considering this issue Over & Done with and will now turn my attention to which QB we would be better off drafting at 1 or a small trade down to 2 or 3.
Whoever the new QB is, whether it’s My Guy or not, I’ll have the same passion for and will root for his success.

This, even I was thinking 4th, maybe 3rd. As time wore on it was obvious the rest of the nfl views him as a flyer.mmmc_35 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 6:12 pmThe market doesnt think so apparently. Great attitude guy that’s for sure, maybe that rolls into it.
