So Poles and Flus have talked about having dinner with Williams and some his teammates the night before his pro day.
Does that effect the 30 visits or how do they get to pull that off?

I'm not sure what the rules are regarding that--if there are any. They've already dined out with Williams a few times, though...

Pretty sure you can meet with whoever you want, whenever you want. When the Bears drafted Mitch, they met with him in secret. A lot of teams use the 30 visits to throw other teams off on players they are interested in. Sometimes they are genuinely interested and sometimes not. Don't believe it counts although the Bears used it to evaluate how he interacted with his teammates. Poles said he was very impressed by Williams not using his phone all through dinner.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

So Williams could have gone to dinner with whoever he choose. He AND his teammates goes to go with the Bears' staff. To me that pretty much says he is certain he's going 1.1 to the Bears.

The only reason it hasn't been announced the Bears are drafting Caleb is because the NFL won't allow them to.

Poles also said in his interview at the owners meeting that Caleb Williams was visiting next week.
