Let's not fight about what metric we're using to rank. Imagine this ranking by whatever metric (DVOA, Total Yards, Scoring, etc etc whatever you like). Let's use this to take the temperature on the board about where this team is going with Waldron and Caleb

I think the current Chicago Bears are going to SHATTER all existing offensive high water marks for the Chicago Bears.
That might not be enough to get them out of the bottom 10, though.

I doubt the switch goes on overnight for a new offense and rookie QB

Ever since we started the Justin/CW debate, I've been saying all along about how great CW will be ( ) and he's going to show that year one.
Don't care what silly "metric" you want to use, we will be top 3 offense. Records he will break his rookie year:
Most passing yards by a rookie QB / any Bears QB
Most passing TDs by a rookie QB / Any Bears QB
Highest passing percentage by a rookie QB / any Bears QB
Fewest picks by an NFL QB with at least 16 starts in a year
Rookie of the year
NFL MVP
There's likely more but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

Not being nasty but a rookie Bears QB doesn't exactly have a really high bar to step over. Hopefully the Bears add more to the offense and CW breaks all Bears rookie QB records.
Where are my old Chicago Bears and what have you done with them, Ryan Poles?

I voted top 10 because, you know, it's the offseason. Everything's rainbows and unicorns.

I was just thinking regular season. Super Bowl and an MVP there is a given.

I think we'll end up pretty much in the middle. The rookie QB and new offense will take their toll. But if the defense ends up in the top 5, that should be enough for a good season.

That’s not very realistic to predict 17 players of week. We will have the number 1 spot for the playoffs locked up by games 16 and 17. I don’t see Flus playing him more than a series or two those games and I don’t see how he could do enough to win it those weeks.Sweetness34 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 8:01 am May as well throw in:

Given that most previous high water marks are little more than knee deep that shouldn't be too difficult to do. I'll settle for waist deep this year.Rusty Trombagent wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 2:29 pm I think the current Chicago Bears are going to SHATTER all existing offensive high water marks for the Chicago Bears.

Pass me a cup, gents - I'm drinking the Kool-aid. I think they crack the top 10, and it will be glorious to watch.

I picked middle 12 as I feel it will take a year to get this offense going full speed. Rookie QB, new OC and new weapons.
A new Era begins in the NFC North!
Sadly, it does not involve the Bears....

Good question.
I’m torn between bottom 10 and the middle. Rookie QB with entirety new O staff is a huge degree of change. But an experienced O staff with KA13 and a whole year of quality defense pushes my prediction barely out of the bottom 10. Barely.

Mikefive's theory: The only time you KNOW that a sports team player, coach or management member is being 100% honest is when they're NOT reciting "the company line".

I voted middle 12. Rookie QB and new offense take a bit to take off then finish the season as one of the best in football. End up finishing just outside the top 10.
