Looks like DL will have to come from the waiver wire/UDFA.

The better prospect is always the better pick, all things being equal.Heinz D. wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:15 pmAnd there's only one ball in the air at the time, too. Odunze, on balance, is a better prospect than Turner and Verse--I'll give you that. Doesn't mean he's the best pick.wab wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:12 pm Eh, only one QB can play at a time. Odunze was a better pick than any DE on the board.
It’s not like the Bears couldn’t use a WR.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Bears trade back into the 5th with a 2025 4th rounder.

So, if Daniels had slipped to #9, and was the highest ranked player on the Bears board, they should have drafted him?wab wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:19 pm The better prospect is always the better pick, all things being equal.

Moore and Allen were already the best one-two WR punch in the league.

You keep using Daniels as an example, but it’s a really bad one.Heinz D. wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:24 pmSo, if Daniels had slipped to #9, and was the highest ranked player on the Bears board, they should have drafted him?wab wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:19 pm The better prospect is always the better pick, all things being equal.

I can’t recall the last time an NFL team lined up with three QBs on the field….

Agreed, they do need a TE.Heinz D. wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:27 pmLet's all begin praying to the football gods to make it so...The Kaiser wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:20 pm Wouldn't be surprised if the Bears trade back into the 5th with a 2025 4th rounder.

The Bears do in fact have very good 2025 draft capital.
First-round pick
Second-round pick
Second-round pick (via Panthers)
Third-round pick
Fourth-round pick
Fifth-round pick
Sixth-round pick
Sixth-round pick (via Dolphins)
Sixth-round pick (via Steelers, can turn into fourth-round pick)
Poles may be thinking that he can do another Sweat type deal to fill the obvious hole at Edge.

Maybe? I'd be concerned about the salary, though. That would probably mean that a disturbingly big chunk of the cap would be going into one position.chiflyer wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 12:29 pm The Bears do in fact have very good 2025 draft capital.

I kind of think we'll go harder at stopping the run and hope to get turnovers against teams we make one dimensional. Giving up rushing yards screwed us in the last game last season so finding someone to keep that elite isn't a terrible stopgap

MIssed by "that much". LOLHeinz D. wrote: Sat Apr 27, 2024 11:59 am We're getting close @Bearfacts ! Kamara might become a Bear!
Booker was the better prospect based on his measurables and also where he was ranked. Kinda shocked he fell all the way to round five. Kamara was always a long shot anyway if only because his measurable don't fit what Flus looks for.

Did Jerry or Brendan Rice say something or do something that made Brenden persona non grata?
