i mean, i know i would blow my brains out if i had to live in a cultural wasteland like arlington heights. oh to be an old white man afraid of his own shadow!

TMP, you atleast have to admit that your twin stances of "I WISH WE HAD PLAYERS WITH PERSONALITY ON THE TEAM" and "I WANT TO GO SEE THE BEAN BUT I"LL GET MURDERED" are humorously a bit at odds with each other.

No not really. You're comparing apples and oranges. I watch the players on TV v actually going to the bean and walking by three homeless people covered in piss at the train station.

Then as it relates to Plank's whole thing of millions of people go to Chicago. OK fine. A bunch of people believed the Earth was flat and was at the center of the universe too. How did that work out?

It sounds like the MIL is starting to rub off on him.

I was in Egypt (Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor) last October, not too long after shit started going down. You would have never known anything was happening except the tourism industry workers - a huge portion of their economy - were (justifiably) freaking the hell out because they stood to lose their livelihoods over the neighboring war. In any event, I was traveling with a large group that was pretty much always guided. They post armed guards with each group, but those guards spend most of their time trying to keep hagglers away from you or negotiating better prices for you when you visited sites (one guy tried to get me to give him money for showing me the best sand near a tomb :D). If you're traveling alone and don't speak Arabic? Yeah, you'll probably have some issues.

So if you were to visit, lets say....Italy. Would you go and see Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan etc? See the sights, as they say? Cause those sights are in cities, like Chicago. People don't travel to Illinois and think, let's stay in Effingham. Chicago is the draw.

Back to Rodgers. It dawned on me that 40 years old now and doesn't have any kids.So hopefully that means he won't have any offspring (granted Pacino just fathered a new kid at 83 years old - good for him BTW) and we will get his genes removed from the gene pool.

“Aliens”? Honestly. I think of the Loch Ness monster when people mention “aliens”.

They don’t exist. There is not one scintilla of evidence they exist despite millions of people over nearly a century looking for them. Even in the vastness of the universe, the mathematics doesn’t even add up.

Sad truth - we’re it

The math says the opposite - that with the vastness of the universe, the chances that we are alone are basically zero. Now, whether we are close enough to anything else that we could actually encounter another form of intelligent life is another question altogether.

To say there is no evidence of anything is also not true, imo. There was a US congressional hearing just last year where military veterans testified that the US had recovered "non-human biologics", in addition to a lot of discussion about vehicles with technology far beyond human-made tech: https://www.npr.org/2023/07/27/11903903 ... ogics-uaps

Now, I am not saying that this definitely means aliens have visited our planet, but there's way to much smoke from what I view as a pretty credible source to outright dismiss the possibility.

Looking at a mile high hay stack and not being able to see a needle is not proof that a needle doesn’t exist. Odds are near zero that we are alone IMO. Whether anything has visited here or not I’ll put at a coin flip.

@LacertineForest
@dplank

While there is no doubt that the topic of aliens and UFOs brings out the crazies when one looks at the stories from accomplished members of the military and government officials (both inside and outside the United States) to me the evidence is crystal clear that there are transmedium (air and water interchangeably) craft.

Some of the military based sightings are also independently confirmed via multiple witnesses and various sensor recordings.

These craft display capabilities that publicly known technology is vastly incapable of producing. Under current propulsion system, the G forces would turn the pilots into goo.

Therefore it is believed that these craft use some kind of antigravity technology which also explains the lack of an aerodynamic design on these craft.

So, to me, the existence of the craft is 100%. The big question is, who is the pilot?

1) A human being. It took 60 years to go from the Wright Brothers at Kitty Hawk and then for us to land on the moon. We are now approximately 60 years from the moon, but the mainstream mode of air travel is still a chemical based propulsion. I refuse to believe that trillions of dollars of investment and 60 years later all we have are more efficient jet engines.

2) Aliens. This aspect has two sides. 1) Aliens would be a great cover story to hide the real origin of these craft. 2) It really is aliens. It’s a big universe out there and there are also multiple dimensions. To think we haven’t been visited by aliens, when we ourselves are aliens when we land on the moon or send probes to Mars and the solar system, is a bit shortsighted.

You get very different answers about life elsewhere - even limiting yourself to serious, relevant scientists - depending on who you ask and when.

There's a lot of unknowns, a lot of extraordinarily large numbers and extraordinarily small numbers, and modest differences in magnitude yield completely different results.

So given the confusing direction this thread has veered off into, what people are really saying is Aaron Rodgers is an alien right?

I’m dismissing it completely.
A bunch of retired veterans (a very very very tiny minority) are telling stories.

Total nonsense for me and I really have to question what their motive/agenda is.
What they saw and what they were told they’d seen and what they’re now reporting - years later - are not necessarily the truth.

Tell me that face isn't asking to be punched and I won't believe you. Fuck Aaron Rodgers.

A little hate every day against a scumbag like that is good for the soul. Release some of your anger against a deserving prick like rodgers from the comfort of your home. Makes smiling to the pricks you'll come across during your day that much easier.

I think I'll go watch his injury video a few times this morning for fun. Maybe I'll add a clip of Favre being Wootoned for desert.

I'm not defending him or even saying that I like the guy as a person, but I do find Rodgers fascinating.

I wonder if he'll feel disrepected:
Top 100 Players of 2024, Nos. 100-91: Aaron Rodgers falls to lowest ranking in his career

92
Down 41

Rodgers took a major descent in this year’s rankings after a torn Achilles limited his debut season with the Jets to just four snaps. But the future Hall of Famer remains one of the most decorated quarterbacks in the league with four MVPs, 10 Pro Bowl honors and four All-Pro nods in addition to his one Super Bowl title.

Shocking. I don't give 2 shits if someone got the vaccine or not, it was their and everyone needed to do what they thought was best for their health. But if you didn't get it, simply own it so that other could do what they thought was best for them. Do give your bullshit inoculation statement. I wish he would just run off with his witch and do drugs in some remote area where I didn't have to hear or see anything about him.
