My brain tends to look for trends / patterns, then bet against those trends in favor of "law of averages" catching up to it. We've looked absolutely great in the preseason, and so my natural instinct is to think that we're going to look like garbage Week 1, because Bears.
But you know what? It's a brand new day around here. CW has me fired up, and Flus defense looks like a defense that is fully comfortable in the scheme and ready to play fast. Bears win this one.

Titans are going to vie for the top pick in the 2025 draft next to the Patriots. Bears feast. Hype train gets reckless early.
Bears - 34
Titans - 13
Don't count out the Panthers. Thats a bad team with a bust QB. Plus it would be nice to have pick 33
A new season, a new offense, a new franchise QB! Caleb chases Cam's rookie debut record as he breaks 400 yards passing, throws for 3 scores and rushes for another.
Bears D feasts early and often giving Caleb several short fields to exploit. The dline shuts up the doubters putting pressure on the Titans QBs all day and finishing with 6 sacks(3 by Sweat) DJ Moore and Keenan Allen both break 125 yards, Cole Kmet breaks 100 and Swift shuts me up about running backs being paid for a week as this looks unstoppable.
And since it's week one, the Crocodile Punter only has one punt, but also shuts me up for a week about drafting punters as it leads directly to points and jumps starts the offensive explosion. Titans score last against back ups.

Well, the Titans no longer have Henry. Huge disadvantage for them, advantage to all opponents. Will Levis? Not sure what to expect there. Don't know much about the Titan.
New day around Chicago.
Bears - 23 (3 FGs, a rush TD and a passing TD)
Titans - 13 (3 FGs here as well)
Kind of a sloppy FG fest with the Bears coming out on top.
Home game, 3rd year of Flus D, offence looks like it actually knows what's doing... it looks really good for us on paper!
I can see us keeping them to 3 scores, either 9 or 13 points. The offence, particularly with a fresh Swift as an outlet, getting 6 score but with Williams struggling a little in the red zone so only 30 points from the 6. Still I'd be happy with that!
"I wouldn't take him for a conditional 7th. His next contract will pay him more than he could possibly contribute.".
This game is going to tell us a LOT about the OLine. Jeffery Simmons is good, but he’s extra motivated to take down Caleb. The D will get their part done, so If we keep Caleb upright, we should win this game.
I think this is going to be a better game than expected
Titans in rebuild and further along than most are giving them credit so will be one of those pain in the ass teams this year to everyone ... the Bears have the first (and only in my recollection) true #1 drafted and #1 on the field QB in their history who looks to be playing right out of the box like a competent veteran as opposed to a confused rookie ... Caleb is the real deal and fuck you to anyone thinking otherwise, and the more he plays will speed up his progression from competent to good to our hero ... a new fresh era about to begin
Bears 27
Titans 23

I think both offenses show some miscues / rust, but our defense gets a couple turnovers to set up both of the games only TD's.
Besides that, we trade punts and 3 FG's each
I will kill you if you cut me at the knees. You will drink with me when invited and stay til I say so. We only listen to American Music. I make men nervous with just my presence. I expect an apology if you hold. I throw linemen at QB's. Believe the Lore!
I feel like the hype is huge right now and that this game will wind up being more nerve wrecking than some think.
I think we outplay Tennessee for the overwhelming majority of the game, but a Caleb mistake or two keeps Tennessee around. Maybe a turnover in our own territory, leading to a Titans touchdown.
Caleb redeems himself with a very nice 4th quarter performance, though. Leading a late drive to win the game.
The hype lives on
Bears 27
Titans 21
Bears 1-0 headed for a high profile prime time matchup between Stroud and Caleb.
A Henry-less Titans are not nearly as intimidating. They're #1 receiver is 32 year-old Deandre Hopkins. I think that this is CW and his receivers coming out party. They showed nothing in their hand during preseason, and this first game is going to be an alarm bell of what the league will have to deal with this year. I think Moore and Odunze have huge games, and Swift has a slow start, but wears down the defense in the 2nd half and goes for over 100 yards. Right out of the gate, Williams throws for 350 yards and 3 TD's. This game is out of reach midway through the 3rd quarter. Bears create three TO's.
The Bears show they've actually become a modern NFL offense with over 300 yards passing and at least 27 points scored. Meanwhile the D is going to yield points more reluctantly than a miser giving up his coins:

Let's FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO!!!
Great take and 100% co-sign.
It’s on like hot buttered popcorn!!!!!
“Avoid having your ego so close to your position that when your position falls, your ego goes with it.”
I think the defense comes out strong and the offense, in a calculated fashion, comes out a bit conservative. I expect a heavy emphasis on the run with timely play-action deep shots taken.
From there, it boils down to how Caleb is seeing things and at halftime they adjust to more passing as Williams get more comfortable with NFL speed.
Bears - 24
Titans - 13
