Some interesting parallels can be made between Tyson Bagent and Caleb Williams for their first two starts.
- Opposing teams from AFC
- First game at home against a relatively weak opponent, second game away on Sunday night against a stronger opponent
- Dads will attend both games, though Williams' dad will probably only get a brief camera shot

GAME 1
Bagent vs Raiders: Tyson surprised the NFL with a steady performance going 21/29 162 yds and 1 TD. The seven series he led consisted of 3, 12, 9, 6, 5, 14 and 13 plays. The running game was his friend (173 yds) helping to keep the pressure and Maxx Crosby off him. The defense shut down the Raiders and Jaylon Johnson got two INT's including a pick 6. The team scored every quarter in spite of an OL of Borom, Jenkins, Patrick, Whitehair, Wright.

Williams vs Titans: The Titans D does not have a premier pass rusher like Crosby, and while they may have a highly ranked rushing D they can be attacked in the air. Waldron will probably call a "safe" game plan similar to what Bagent ran last season. The D should rise to the occasion limiting Pollard and Will Mayonnaise Levis.

GAME 2
Bagent vs Chargers: Tyson had a rougher go of it and the OL (same as last game) did not have much of an answer for stopping Mack and Bosa. The rushing attack was 100 yards less than the previous game. A couple of drives were stunted by penalties. The one scoring drive in the first half involved the infamous TD pass falling out of VJJ's hands, yet Bagent kept the team going for a TD. The defense had no answer for a determined Herbert and a rejuvenated Gordon, giving up a cheap TD at the end of the first half to make it 7-24. The Bears played better in the second half where the score for that half was 6-6, but the defense was not giving the offense much help. Bagent went 25/37 232 yds 2 INT.

Williams vs Texans: The OL will have its hands full trying to contain the pass rush of Anderson and Hunter. Stroud may be determined to show that he should have been awarded the Heisman two years ago, and at least want to show up the rookie. They will also have a rejuvenated Mixon to rip off a few runs. Will the Bears D stop a few Houston drives in the first half, unlike what happened against the Chargers? Will the Bears rushing attack help open up the passing game for Williams? This could be their toughest opponent this season.

Finally, Bagent squared off against the Panthers in his fourth start, while Williams will face them in his fifth start. Caleb should also notch a win against Carolina.
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.
