I'll gloomily predict a Bears loss, by a hair. Game winning field goal as time expires.

I think the Bears unfortunately lose in what turns out to be a surprisingly low scoring game. Offense looks a little better, but they can't close it out. Defense does their part though.

24-17 Texans. I want to be wrong, but I think Texans are better right now.

After last game, my first thought is "how good is the defensive line for the Texans?"

I expect their interior linemen won't be a repeat of the horror show we had with Simmons and Sweat demolishing the Bears center and guards snap after snap, but their edge players are better. I'm hoping for a bounce back game from our offensive line and that side of the ball in general. I think this will be a close one that will go to the Texans.

I think the Bears will play a lot of FG rich games this year and this week will be no exception. Houston is not going to put up the points they did last week or run the ball as they did vs. the Colts. While their D didn't look that good last week, what our offense showed on tape will be exploited and we'll have another rough day sustaining drives, especially with injuries in our WR corps. Not counting on a pick 6 and a blocked punt to score TDs this week. It will be another ugly game (unless you like defense). Houston's at home, so I give them the edge.

I think the wheels fall off a little this week, but then things start clicking next week.

I'm not confident about this game... Texans jump out to an early lead and the Bears can't 'defense/special teams' their way out of the hole, unfortunately:

Bears 17
Texans 23

I'm hoping to see signs of growth/progress from the offense.

I'm with Wagon here - I was literally looking up PFF grades on their DTs. The verdict is: they sorta suck. But the edge duo is one of the best in the league so we'll see the oline get tested again anyway. Hopefully our OTs don't get embarassed like our IOL did last week.

This is an exciting game to see all the young players on both sides go after eachother. At the end of the day, I believe in our defense, but I'm in "wait and see" mode with the offense. They need to settle down and I don't know that game 2 is long enough...

After watching the Colts game, the Texans, Colts, and Bears are all very similar teams. I think the Bears defensive line is what will make or break the day.

Caleb plays better under the bright lights, taking what Houston gives him. The offense is clearly more in sync and makes some splash plays earlier. The Bears D comes to feast with 5 sacks and terrorizes Stroud all game long. Bears announce to the nation they are here to be great!

Bears win!

Wow, so many picks against the Bears after a W the previous game. Go figger.
The weather forecast for the game ... is in the dome, so nice and lighted. Crap will rain down from the TV booth as Collinsworthless spews out junk and will make the inevitable comparisons for the young QB's to Erin and Brady.
First half is close as both teams get called for illegal procedure several times. In the second half, VJJ takes it to the house on an end-around, Kmet gets a gift TD when he's left uncovered, and DJ Moore scores one after eluding several would-be tacklers.

Bears 27
Texans 24
San Francisco has always been my favorite booing city. I don't mean the people boo louder or longer, but there is a very special intimacy. Music, that's what it is to me. One time in Kezar Stadium they gave me a standing boo.

First off, kudos to the PeeWee herman gifs...well done.

Sadly, I see a loss here.

Texans - 27
Bears - 13

I think Stroud picks us apart, controls the game/TOP with a short passing game that tires our defense and forces our offense to press. Hope to be wrong here, but I don't think our OL or offense as a whole will be really synced up for several more weeks, and these guys are too good to expect the defense to carry us again.

I think (well, hope but still!) we're going to turn things around on offence quicker than might be expected. Williams is going to be pissed at his performance and I think we match up better with the Texans dline than the Titan's. The run game starts to pick up a little and Caleb gets into a rhythm with some accurate short passes to help against their edge rush. 5 scoring drives but still a little shaky in the red zone so 23 points.

The defence doesn't have the nightmare drive against the run and sets its stall out there. They get a rare Stroud interception and keep them to 16.

The other big key to the road win is great field position, something I hope is strength all year.

I Believe.

I won't predict a score because I never do but I don't expect a Bears win given how poorly the OL is performing. Until they can get a stable starting five healthy and in sync the offense will struggle to score and they aren't there yet or even close.

Damn! I am going the other way than most. Texans are a good football team. I will say, overall, the Bears are just as good. It is obvious the Bears OL sucks at this moment. I just have a feeling that the D and ST are going to continue to carry the load at this time. I see a Stephenson Pick 6. I see some good returns by Carter to put the O in good position. I see Cairo nailing 4 FGs.

I see:

Bears - 19
Texans- 16

Stingley Jr and Pitre are real nice. I’d attack their linebackers early and often. Get a bunch of completions, get some rhythm, get some confidence.

Caleb throws two tuds, Roschon gets one, and one non-offensive.

Stroud throws a last minute tud to make it a one point game, but WE recover the onside kick.

Bears - 28

Houstonians - 27

Their ends are better than their interior but, our tackles are better than our IOL.
Our QB is way better than he looked on Sunday.
Cole Kmet catches two TD's in his "return to the lineup" game.
DL builds on second half domination.
Bears win 24-13
