If the fucking Packers, with Malik Willis, can beat the Colts then we better find a way to win.
I think we will have a strong showing from our defense, but they better recognize that Anthony Richardson is a physical freak and can throw the ball 60+ yards with ease. This means we have to get home and hit him aggressively and force him to the ground. If we give him time and are playing zone coverage, he can rip it downfield for explosive gains. Tread lightly.
Offensively, I have no idea what the fuck is going on with this offensive line. It was frustrating watching them have piss-poor communication and not figure out how to pick up basic stuns and twists. Is that something they focus on this week? I would hope so because that + blitzing is on tape and the result was Caleb Williams getting his teeth kicked in. Clean that shit up and figure out what's going on with the run game. If Swift isn't getting it done, get Herbet in there and give him a couple drives to see if he can find a groove.
I hope Buckner doesn't play and that Latu, if he does play, will be limited because I don't trust either of our tackles right now (Darnell Wright looks like he's regressed significantly, I hope he didn't mail it in this past off-season). Still, I think we have more talent on our roster than the Colts and we'll get out of this with the W.

After feeling a win last week and being disappointed, I do not have a good feeling this week. The Pack were able to ram the ball down the Colts throat, 161 yds rushing. I have not seen the Bears OL be able to get 61 yds rushing. I think the Bears are just a mess (shocker, have not seen this before) at the moment and the Colts are going to sell out to put pressure on CW.
Close game, but the Bears get a road win and improve to 2-1. Of course, I'm assuming the Bears figure something out this week, offensively - whether that's the O-Line pulling their heads out of their collective asses, some benchings, Waldron making adjustments to simplify things, or some combination thereof.
Both the Texan and Packers ran the ball all day on the Colts and now they have Buckner out. If the Bears can't run the ball this week C-Mo and Waldron need to be fired next Monday.
The line reaches the heady heights of adequate and Williams finds some touch on the deep ball whilst the defence starts stronger and keeps the Colts out of the end zone.
Bears 34, Colts 6.
"I wouldn't take him for a conditional 7th. His next contract will pay him more than he could possibly contribute.".
My program, which is only 20-12 picking winners this year, expects Bears to lose by 4.5 with between 46 and 51 points points scored in the game. That's too many points, mainly because my program doesn't yet realize how much worse Bears' offense is this year. I doubt the Bears' offense can score 21+ points against anyone, and we can't expect the defense and/or special teams to score for every win they get. But I can't give up on them just yet, so

Sadly, that pretty much guarantees that the Bears will have no success running the ball. Or if they do accidentally run well, they will quickly abandon it. Nobody will get fired.
There's some troubling signs around our Bears right now. From players having uncharacteristic outbursts (Moore) to others indirectly pointing the finger at coaching (Jenkins), two weeks into a fresh season, things are looking weird. If you add in the bizarre interview excerpt with Jaxon Smith-Njigba where he was asked about Shane Waldron that's making the rounds, my anxiety meter is rising fast. On top of that, the Colts are giving a point and a half against the Bears after losing to Malik Willis and the Packers, a game in which Indy gave up 261 yards on the ground.
I'm going to remain hopeful for one more week at least, I think the Bears thump the Colts on Sunday but I'm not sure it will put too many of my growing concerns around the team to rest.

I expect a change at the RG position and some improvements in the adjustment of the offense. This will result in a few baby steps. Caleb throws his first and only TD.
Santos, Crocodil Dundee and Defense win the game for us.

Cowards.
Caleb's adjustment continues as he explodes on a weak Colts team. First 300 yard game along with 3 TDs has the fan base reenergized.
Defense absolutely dominates getting an early score to start the fireworks.
Bears win 38-6

Wright has flat-out sucked. No way to sugarcoat it.
My mother's love was inexplicably linked to kickball.
I think this is going to be a great game to evaluate Waldron. By all accounts we are not facing a Top 10 DL, and their overall defense is much softer than both Tennessee and Houston. If Waldron cannot scheme up plays and packages that can take advantage of the Colts defense, and at the same time give our offense and Caleb Williams a chance to gel and gain some confidence. Then we're going to be in for a long season. On paper this offense should wipe the floor with the Colts. He better figure out how to get it done.
I think the Offense gets well this game and makes some headway. Caleb throws his first of two TD's this game, and the running attack scores another. The defense dominates this OL and makes it a living hell for Richardson. The defense gets two picks and a fumble recovery.

I though folks said his tape looked good in pass blocking in Game 1?
* Bears defense scores a TD
* Bears special teams score a TD
* Caleb throws a TD pass
* Caleb gets sacked 5 times vs a beat up second tier defense
* Cairo is 3-3 on field goals, 1 a 60 yarder

Will the Bears O-line show a marked improvement? Well this should help:
Colts place Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner (ankle) on injured reserve
Bad news is mounting for the Indianapolis Colts and, in particular, their struggling defense.
Defensive lineman DeForest Buckner is being placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, the team announced Tuesday.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Buckner was believed to have suffered an ankle sprain and would undergo an MRI. Buckner was categorized as a long shot to play in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, but he'll now be out for at least the next four games.
