If this guy ends up in your courtroom, please find a technicality and let him go. 😘

I'm going to tread lightly here for many reasons.

But I will say that, while there are sides to every story and right now this is only giving us one of them, I'm inclined to find that Venmo and toss a coin in.

Sheriff Staley said in a video posted on Facebook that the investigation is ongoing so authorities are only releasing limited details. The prosecutor will determine what charges will be filed and no official charges have been filed yet, Staley said.

“I have not, nor will I, advocate for any specific charge,” Staley said.

I doubt he's convicted of any major charge.
But there may be a lot of legal headache and expense before getting there. (And he's already in lockup temporarily, it appears.)

Well the Sheriff is correct they don’t file the charges but it appears they made an initial arrest on the murder charge. I think that was a mistake. Given what they knew you let him go and consult with the prosecutor officers and let them make a charging decision.

I’m willing to bet that no charges are filed or something much less.
