The East-West Shrine Bowl, the nation’s oldest college all-star football game, has officially partnered with Lights Out Sports TV, a revolutionary FREE streaming app created by NFL legend Shawne Merriman, to be our official practice broadcast network for the 2025 Shrine Bowl. :?:

Seems like fewer names here than in past Shrine bowls, though landing Shedeur Sanders feels like a coup (and a way to get Sanders into Jerry Jones' backyard).

On the OL, it's interesting to me that they're moving both Joshua Gray and Jackson Slater to C – Eric Galko usually pays pretty close attention to what NFL teams want. (Slater hasn't played C since high school, while Gray turns 25 in March, so he's largely what you see is what you get.) Luke Newman getting an invitation makes me happy – he's a red ass with some athleticism. And the CB field looks considerably better than the WR field, so they should shine.

A deeper dive into the Shrine Bowl roster:
  • Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt) is absolutely the best TE prospect, but I think Rivaldo Fairweather (Auburn) is draftable as well.
  • Tre Harris (Mississippi) being here and not in the Senior Bowl is a surprise. He and Ricky White (UNLV) should shine here; Ja'Corey Brooks is likely to struggle against this DB crop.
  • Big bodies but not great athletes at tackle. Drew Kendall here is interesting, definitely has a draftable grade from me.
  • Sean Martin will be coveted by 3-4 teams looking for a 5-tech. Jordan Phillips will generate interest because he's a redshirt sophomore, but I think Zeek Biggers is a better player. Cam Horsley too, though he should be a 3-4 nose cos he can't rush the passer at all.
  • It'll be interesting to see this LB crew. A fair number of athletes but only guy with good production is Francisco Mauigoa, whose biggest question is his athleticism.
  • So. Many. CBs. Zy Alexander (LSU), Mello Dotson (Kansas), Corey Thornton (Louisville), Justin Walley (Minnesota), Nohl Williams (Cal) all draftable grades from me. And Shavon Revel (East Carolina) is gonna go Day 2 despite his knee.

Jalen Travis has been on my radar for a bit. He’s a freak.
